What to Watch Thursday: Community Plays D&D, Vampire Spring Break, David Brenner and More

community-325On TV this Thursday: Community rolls the polyhedral dice, Vampire Diaries takes a (spring) break, HBO remembers comedian David Brenner and Scandal shoots… but does it score? As a supplement to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (ABC) | Alice and Cyrus discover alarming information involving prisoners Jafar has under his control. (What, are they Dharma security guards?)

8 pm Community (NBC) | The study group organizes a game of Dungeons & Dragons in an effort to help Professor Hickey reunite with his estranged son (played by David Cross, Arrested Development).

8:30 pm Parks and Recreation (NBC) | It’s “ovaries before brovaries” time again as Leslie searches for Ann’s replacement at a Galentine’s Day party. (Watch a sneak preview.)

9 pm David Brenner: Back with a Vengeance (HBO) | In remembrance of the late comedian, HBO is airing this an encore presentation of Brenner’s 2000 comedy special filmed in Las Vegas.

9 pm Suits (USA Network) | Harvey goes head-to-head with an old rival from law school; Jessica tries to stay clear of Scottie and Louis’ feud.

10 pm Portlandia (IFC) | Carrie dates a tax lawyer.

    It’s “Ovaries before brovaries” actually ;) Weird time to air a (V)Galentine’s Day episode 5 weeks too late. I guess the producers failed to account for the Olympics – or NBC is airing the episodes out of order.

      Shows usually have a semi-floating timeline because its next to impossible to coincide each episode with a holiday, and maybe this is a ‘late-celebrating Galentines Day’.
      Not out of order because Ann left before Valentines day (if Pawnee timeline is the same as ours) and it would be odd if Leslie decided Ann’s replacement before Ann left.
      I find it more odd/irritating that the episode is entitled Galentine’s Day, which is the same title as a season two episode. I don’t like it when show’s do this. Desperate Housewives did the same thing.
