tommy savas state of affairsI spy a handsome new addition to Katherine Heigl’s CIA-themed NBC pilot State of Affairs.

Hollywood Heights alum Tommy Savas has joined the cast in the series regular role of Miles, a CIA analyst and the youngest member of the President’s Daily Briefing Team. (Spoiler Alert: Miles is gay and sleeping with his boss, whose name is — get this — Director Skinner!).

Affairs, written by Alexi Hawley (The Following), finds the Grey’s Anatomy alum playing a key CIA analyst whose job it is to debrief and strategize with the president on the most pressing global and national matters. She balances this incredibly high stakes job and trusted relationship with her complicated personal life.

Rodney Faraon, who has debriefed several U.S. presidents, will serve as an EP on the project.

Savas will next be seen in TNT’s big-budget thriller The Last Ship, which bows Sunday, June 22.

The Last Ship ironically starring Eric Dane.

  2. David says:

This sounds like another show that wants to be taken seriously yet is going to be very soapy just based off of the character descriptions. Hopefully it can get the balance right like Scandal season 2.

ROFL – “State of Affairs, written by Alexi Hawley (The Following)”

If you have seen The Following and witnessed the awful writing and plots (or lack of plots), then you know this is going to be a crappy show.

Haggle is over. She killed Stephanie Plum, and now she’s crawling back to television. Go adopt some more stylish foreign babies that you smoke around, honey.

I hope they explain how Izzie got a job with the CIA, considering she’s living with cancer and all!
