Glee Exclusive: Chris Colfer to Pen Episode

The American Foundation For Equal Rights & Broadway Impact Present "8"Chris Colfer‘s Glee duties are expanding.

The actor-writer is set to pen an episode of the Fox musical-dramedy to air later this season, TVLine has learned exclusively.

According to sources, the show’s producers (including series co-creator Ryan Murphy) presented Colfer with the opportunity to craft his very own hour of Glee, and the burgeoning auteur jumped at it.

Details on the content of the episode are TBD, but I hear Colfer has already met with the show’s writing staff to hash out some ideas.

Colfer is certainly well suited for the gig. In addition to writing the screenplay for the 2012 indie Struck By Lightning (which he also produced and starred in), the 23-year-old multi-hyphenate is the best-selling author behind the Land of Stories children’s book series.

I think Chris C could be ingenious, fresh and new. Something Glee hasn’t been for a long time. Stale crackers. The new setting being full time NY and being accompanied by new surroundings, background characters and fresh new any things could be great. The writers are stale and in a rut IMO. So why not Chris? He’s very creative. It’s time to see new storylines in NY.

I’ll settle for just getting rid of Sam! Can’t believe they are dumping Santana and giving the couch to Sam and replacing Pezberry with Blam! Major downgrade in talent. At least Santana has more going for her then her abs!

even thou her abs are fabulous ;)

Yes to everything you said, just yes!

Did you ever think that just maybe Naya, herself, wanted out, and that it wasn’t the writers idea? Plus, we just found out a few days ago from a producer that she’s only going to be gone in a handful of episodes and will be back by the end of Season 5.

  6. tina says:

The source protected themselves by actually saying ‘current plans’ are for her to be back by the end of the season. We all know current plans can change.

She’s on a contract. It’s not that easy to just walk away.
