* On Scorpion, CBS’ drama about an eccentric genius and his network of specialists who defend against the complex threats of the modern age, Patrick will play a no-nonsense federal agent who works with the group. Patrick can next be seen in the El Rey Network’s From Dusk Till Dawn series.

* Onetime Strangers With Candy-peddler Sedaris has been cast as 30 Rocker Jane Krakowski’s nosy coworker in Dead Boss, Fox’s “comedic mystery” about a woman wrongfully convicted of snuffing her employer.

* Malik Yoba, whose recent TV credits include Revolution and Alphas, has boarded Fox’s hip-hop drama Empire, playing a longtime friend  and business associate of Terrence Howard’s record mogul.

* Harriet Harris (aka Desperate Housewives‘ Felicia Tilman, Frasier) will play mom to Smash‘s Christian Borle in Lifesaver, NBCs multi-cam comedy about two very different men inextricably linked by a kidney donation.
