Penelope Ann Miller (Mistresses), Timothy Hutton (Leverage) and Annie Ilonzeh (Charlie’s Angels) are among the latest actors to book pilots this winter.
Per our sister site Deadline…
* Several familiar faces have joined ABC’s drama pilot American Crime, the potential series about a war veteran’s racially charged murder and the high-profile trial that follows. Miller will play Eve, whose daughter — now on life support — is the wife of the man who was killed, while former Leverage star Hutton will play recovering gambling addict Chuck Skokie, the victim’s father.
* Former Charlie’s Angels star Ilonzeh has been cast in NBC’s drama pilot Coercion, the story of an American war hero and CIA analyst (Gavin Stenhouse) who’s unaware that his parents and sister are part of a recently reactivated Russian sleeper cell. Ilonzeh will play an FBI Special Agent named Julia.
* Mariana Klaveno, last seen on Lifetime’s Devious Maids, has joined CBS’ untitled Kevin Williamson drama pilot, which recently acquired Dylan McDermott as its leading man. The potential psychological thriller follows two detectives who deal with stalking incidents for the LAPD’s Threat Assessment Unit. Klaveno will play Janice, a glamorous yet often underestimated detective.
