Lena Dunham's Saturday Night Live Promos: Nudity, Feminism and... Death Threats?

There’s plenty of skin to be seen in Lena Dunham‘s new Saturday Night Live promos — but not from the oft-nude Girls star herself, surprisingly.

SNL staple Kate McKinnon takes over nudity duties for “Hannah” in the new video, touting Dunham’s SNL debut this Saturday (11:30/10:30c on NBC). The ladies also do an awkward-yet-infectious dance in celebration of them being “two young feminists.”

But perhaps the weirdest promo is the one in which McKinnon suggests she joins Girls as a character who kills Hannah, then continues living as her. (Personally, I’d rather they just add Tina Fey’s Blerta to the show for real, but hey, that’s why I’m not writing for Girls.)

Watch Dunham’s SNL promo below, then drop a comment with your hopes for her big debut.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Kate McKinnon is awesome but these promos are bad, bad, bad… if they wanted to include “Girls” mention in the promos why not have Kate play each of the characters from the show, even the men… this is just awful…

  2. Tran 2.0 says:

OMG! Topless Kate McKinnon. Don’t know if this week’s episode is going to be better than Jim Parsons was last week.

  3. Tran 2.0 says:

Got an idea for this week’s episode: the women of SNL should do another Digital Short music video like the Twin Bed sketch with Jimmy Fallon and BTW no topless sightings.

  4. Scooter Smith (@scoboot) says:

Based on those promos…. I’ll just watch weekend update on Hulu.

  5. tara17 says:

I want Blerta on the show. In fact, I want Blerta to have her own show.

  6. rod says:

I`ll watch, Lena cant be as bad as Jim Parsons was last week.

  7. chloe says:

I’d watch Girls if they added Blerta and replace Dunham with Kate McKinnon. SNL was horrible last week, and it looks like it will be just as bad this week.
