Per our sister site Deadline

* The oft-shirtless Hartley will flex his funny bone in ABC’s Damaged Goods pilot from Awkward creator Lauren Iungerich. Described as smart and egotistical, Hartley’s Tim finds himself at odds with his girlfriend when she beats him out for a promotion at their mutual law firm. Hartley joins previously announced cast members Ben Lawson and Steve Talley.

* Weil aka Scandal‘s Amanda Tanner (RIP) has been accepted into the Shonda Rhimes-produced law school-based thriller How To Get Away With Murder, playing an associate of a criminal defense professor (Viola Davis).

* Burstyn has been cast opposite Natasha Lyonne in Amy Poehler’s single-camera NBC comedy pilot Old Soul. Burstyn’s Eileen is the uninhibited cancer-beating lesbian aunt of Lyonne’s Nadia, who works in a nursing home. Old Soul also stars Fred Willard and Rita Moreno.

* Recently seen romancing Mindy Project‘s title heroine, Tommy Dewey has joined the 1960s-set NBC comedy pilot Mission Control. Dewey’s astronaut character is frequently at odds with his strong-willed coworker, played by Krysten Ritter (Don’t Trust The B–).

  • I’ll never forget Ellen’s amazing line in Big Love, “are you being lesbians together?” And now ironically, Ellen is! Ha, awesome casting.

    • I have been wondering every pilot season where she is? She’s too talented and I don’t know why no one has pounced on her.

    • Was coming to the comments section to say this. I think mr Swift wanted to say “Weil aka the Gilmore Girls‘ Paris Geller”.

    • Agreed. I think the purpose was to highlight she’s joining another Shonda Rhimes project (her third after Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal).

  • So excited for Lisa Weil!!
I think she’s a terrific actress and I miss her because she hasn’t been in any show I watch regularly since Gilmore Girls.
