Jim Parsons' Saturday Night Live Promos: Ice Dancing, Sock Puppets and Plenty of 'Bazinga!'

Get More: Previews

For the record, there is a correct use of the word “Bazinga!” and Saturday Night Live host Jim Parsons is happy to explain it to you.

The Big Bang Theory star makes his SNL debut Saturday (11:30/10:30c on NBC), and in this new set of promos, he finds himself in more than a few awkward silences with SNL staple Bobby Moynihan — who refuses to grasp the proper timing of Parsons’ BBT catchphrase.

Also, fun fact: Did you know that Parsons medaled in ice dancing at the Winter Olympics? In case you missed it last week, he enlists Moynihan to help recreate his elegant routine in the promo. (Eat your heart out, Will Ferrell!)

  • So excited for SNL return from the Olympic break not to mention the debut of Colin Jost as new Weekend Update co-anchor with Cecily Strong (wolf whistle).

  • I read Parson’s catch phrase was originally going to be Buttzinga!, but even Chuck Lorre thought that was too obvious…
