The potential series, from Party of Five‘s Christopher Keyser, centers on the doctors and nurses at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center who treat returning soldiers.

Grunberg will play Dr. Leonard Mooney, an offbeat OB/GYN who uses a wheelchair and thus can no longer operate — unless, that is, he can coax the resident prosthetics whiz to help jerry-rig a state-of-the art-chair. Mooney also has a fondness for one of his patients, a widowed Army sergeant who’s having a difficult pregnancy.

The Warriors cast also includes The River’s Eloise Mumford, Law & Order‘s Courtney B. Vance, Homeland’s Morena Baccarin and Tony winner Steve Kazee.

In addition to his run as Heroes‘ Matt Parkman, Grunberg’s previous TV credits include The Client List, Love Bites, Alias and Felicity.

  • I’ll watch this for Grunberg! He’s hot. Too bad he’ll be in a wheelchair. That’ll prevent me from being able to see my favorite thing about him: his ass!
