In the multi-camera project, Lizzy (played by Happy Endings alum Cuthbert) and her straight male best friend Luke (2 Broke Girls‘ Nick Zano) live together and finally succeed in having a baby via artificial insemination — just as Luke meets and impulsively marries the love of his life (the yet-to-be-cast Prudence).

    • Hopefully they’ll retool it to be a single camera comedy.

    • I’m really curious…..how do a couple extra cameras make a show not funny? I’ve seen plenty of single camera shows that are crap too.

  • It sounds really good. But would totally be better as a single camera show.

  • How funny!!! Reminds me of the Happy Endings episode where Max had to pretend to be a lesbian, and dressed up like Ellen!!! Hilarious!!! “If you’re going to be a lesbian, might as well go straight to the top!!!”

    • Lol, I was about to post the same thing, I loved that episode of Happy Endings and she nailed her scenes perfectly.

  • Nick Zano was in Happy Endings 3rd Season as Penny’s boyfriend/fiance… So that won’t be their first time together on camera… And now that makes the entire Happy Endings cast occupied and we may see them next season all on TV in different shows (unless Fox cancels TMP)

  • Cool! Love her and Nick Zano, and of course, Ellen. Hopefully this is good!

  • Sounds like Calzona/Mark storyline from Greys

Comment by Khaira – February 20, 2014 02:31 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Not really. Callie and Mark were lovers who conceived accidentally via sexual intercourse. In this situation, they purposely conceive via artificial insemination and it’s the guy who finds a wife, not the girl. Definitely not the same storyline from Greys.

  • Happy Elisa got a role on a new show glad all of Happy Endings cast have returned to TV.

  • I must’ve misread the premise. I was hoping Nick Zano was the GBF not the BFF, who found the love of his life. Now, I’m not so interested.

  • I dislike both Cuthbert and Zano. FAIL.

  • And the hollyweird parade of normalphobic, demonic, pure sh*t continues! What a surprise. A show promoting immorality and filth straight from the degenerate herself. The soldiers of the devil continue to brainwash people with their filth. What complete and utter immoral, sick, perverted, un-natural, un-Godly FILTH.

  • Love Cuthbert but dislike Zano. HATE the “lesbian needs a straight guy” tired trope. I’ll pass.
