In the multi-camera project, Lizzy (played by Happy Endings alum Cuthbert) and her straight male best friend Luke (2 Broke Girls‘ Nick Zano) live together and finally succeed in having a baby via artificial insemination — just as Luke meets and impulsively marries the love of his life (the yet-to-be-cast Prudence).

  1. Char Richo says:

Sounds like it has potential. I like Elisha. Undecided on Nick Zano.

  2. Teag says:

    Ugh please not multi camera.

  3. knd says:

It sounds really good. But would totally be better as a single camera show.

  4. Eric7740 says:

How funny!!! Reminds me of the Happy Endings episode where Max had to pretend to be a lesbian, and dressed up like Ellen!!! Hilarious!!! “If you’re going to be a lesbian, might as well go straight to the top!!!”

  5. Nick Zano was in Happy Endings 3rd Season as Penny’s boyfriend/fiance… So that won’t be their first time together on camera… And now that makes the entire Happy Endings cast occupied and we may see them next season all on TV in different shows (unless Fox cancels TMP)

  6. KSM says:

Cool! Love her and Nick Zano, and of course, Ellen. Hopefully this is good!

  7. schu says:

All of my Happy Endings favs, and by favs i mean all of them, have landed new gigs! So glad casting directors too notice!

  8. Hannah says:

    Lezzie Lizzie?

  9. Khaira says:

Sounds like Calzona/Mark storyline from Greys

    • jj says:

Not really. Callie and Mark were lovers who conceived accidentally via sexual intercourse. In this situation, they purposely conceive via artificial insemination and it’s the guy who finds a wife, not the girl. Definitely not the same storyline from Greys.

    • woodyinho says:

reverse Will & Grace storyline, season 5.

  10. Joey says:

Happy Elisa got a role on a new show glad all of Happy Endings cast have returned to TV.

  11. Jon says:

I must’ve misread the premise. I was hoping Nick Zano was the GBF not the BFF, who found the love of his life. Now, I’m not so interested.

  12. Ella says:

I dislike both Cuthbert and Zano. FAIL.

  13. Macus Walker says:

And the hollyweird parade of normalphobic, demonic, pure sh*t continues! What a surprise. A show promoting immorality and filth straight from the degenerate herself. The soldiers of the devil continue to brainwash people with their filth. What complete and utter immoral, sick, perverted, un-natural, un-Godly FILTH.

  14. Olivia says:

Love Cuthbert but dislike Zano. HATE the “lesbian needs a straight guy” tired trope. I’ll pass.

    • imani says:

Ummm….but lesbians needs a guy for a baby. Is it the man factor you detest bc it kinda comes across as man-hating.would it make you feel better if it was just anonymous sperm ?that her BFF not happen to be a straight man because lesbians don’t need men as best friends? does that annoy you? is it your preference to eliminate any focus on the man that way we can pretend the man doesn’t exist and that you don’t need him when you actually do? you’d rather use a man like a Kleenex and throw him away? men are not the enemy. It’s by Divine design that you can love who you want but you still need each other to procreate. it is what it is.
