At least that seems to be the inference we’re getting from our exclusive first look at the key art for Fox’s new Chris Meloni comedy Surviving Jack.

The series, from veteran producer Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Cougar Town), stars the Law & Order: SVU vet as a suburban dad who becomes a full-time parent when his wife decides to go to law school.

Surviving Jack premieres Thursday, March 27 at 8:30/7:30c, following the American Idol results show.

    • He is actually returning to comedy. Back in 1990/1991, he was in the NBC sitcom, The Fanelli Boys.
