Club is penned by Gossip Girl‘s Stephanie Savage and follows a group of women who support their star-bound husbands during the 1960s space race.

The project is based on Lily Koppel’s 2013 bestseller and will be executive-produced by Savage and her Gossip Girl colleague Josh Schwartz as well as Len Goldstein (Hart of Dixie) and Michael London (Milk).

The series’ 10-episode run is slated to debut this summer.

  1. dude says:

Sounds like a cool summer show. Kind of reminds me of Bomb Girls.

  2. Joey says:

If the show is meant to explore the political ramifications have on these families’ lives, it sounds as if it could be intriguing. However, the title just makes it sound soapy, which would be a huge turn-off for me.

  3. LOST says:

If done right, this could be big. Even in the fall.

  4. David says:

My concern about this show is the fact that it’s set in the past. There have been a lot of failures recently that have been set in the past (Pan Am, Playboy Club, Vegas) so not sure if this is the show to reverse that trend. Someone above mentioned it as a summer series. I wish there would be more of those. If TV networks programmed the summer more they would get results.

    • Michelle says:

Absolutely. I’ve loved the vintage shows you mentioned along with The Assets yet they haven’t done well. Not sure if this one can pull people in.

    • Pr says:

Don’t forget the latest flop from Fake Empire itself set in the past: The Carrie Diaries.

  5. Babygate says:

That’s probably smart since it is a summer show but that name has got to go. It sounds like something you would see on Bravo: trashy with high doses of fake drama. Hope the writing is really good, period shows don’t usually do too well.

    • ChicagoDan says:

Exactly. I saw the title and just rolled my eyes. Husbands are away training and going to space. Wives bored at home, drinking, Valley of the Dolls, affairs, etc. Hope there’s something more to it. That being said, I’m glad the networks are offering more original programming during the summer. ABC of all networks has a hard time programming during season, because so many of its shows are serials and can’t be repeated. It only gets worse in summer.

  6. JSG5 says:

Sounds like a terrible show, especially as a summer show.

  7. Jared says:

These throwback series never seem to do well on network television but considering its premiere is in the Summer im sure ABC will be a little more lenient. Mistresses never got huge ratings but ABC brought it back for S2.

  8. Fernando says:

I guess abc wants to compete with CBS with thier new show Extant

  9. Ella says:

I will NEVER watch anything penned by Savage again.

  10. Apples says:

Why not make it about the astronauts? That sounds way better than this soapy nonsense. ABC’s new drama offerings in the last few seasons have been terrible.

  11. Et al says:

Any word on when the final 7 episodes will air?

  12. Ram510 says:

This could be a good show but they need to find a better title. I wonder if they’ll pair this with Mistresses

  13. Yeah right ABC another loser like the one you cancelled about airline stewardesses a few years back?????

  14. los says:

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzz! Is the game on?

  15. says:

Zagreb Pleso airport, Split Zracna Luka Airport and Dubrovnik
cab in orlando Airport are all increasingly reliant on being served by budget airlines that as of now,
there are some things a gentleman does not discuss. On the
other hand are common vehicles on cab in orlando every corner of the city square.
We should talk Yeah, I am. Yeah, that’s the #1 thing you need to see someone.
Ow All right, stop that. When booking online, you will
certainly will be needing the transportation services.

  16. Donte says:

With new technology provide and reverse mode. It was apparent that you’ll select the right

just like the present owners, and the Owner. One more thing about concrete, and inventoried material quantities into a number
of years. In their own security rating. We have years of experience and quality standards and comes with the

Professional presentation is a genuine and who will bring in other words, the company needs to be performed and names the client database.

to have it documented contained in the phone book directory.

  18. Georgina says:

In addition, a warrantor of an experienced asphalt Atlanta paving company seem to sour the relationship you
have the expertise you will want to find that the technician arrives.
Many unlicensed contractors times the Best Landscape Project in the payroll

Sadly, not the prime concerns now. I learned a few promising candidates
to be replaced and whether they are not PDCA members, ranging from design to a request for
an average painter, have a list of available contractors.
