TVLine Items: Miley Unplugged, a 'Super' Full House Reunion, Ripper Street's Return and More

Miley Cyrus MTV UnpluggedMiley Cyrus is getting the Unplugged treatment.

The tongue-wagging pop star will get her own Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged special, airing on Jan. 29, reports

In a press release, the network touts that the edition will “showcase a more intimate side of Cyrus and feature surprise guests for an unexpected re-invention of the songs that have defined her career, including several from her #1 critically acclaimed album, Bangerz.”

Ready for more of today’s news nuggets? Well….

* BBC America’s Ripper Street will return for Season 2 on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 9/8c.

* Break out the zombie treats, because it’s a Walking Dead lovefest as Conan welcomes the AMC series’ cast on Feb. 6. Walker-fodder Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Steven Yeun, Danai Gurira and Melissa McBride will appear on the late-night talker.

* Full House fans will want to tune into the Super Bowl on Feb. 2 if this Dannon Oikos commercial, featuring John Stamos and some of his former housemates, is any indication.

      What other MTV Unplugged artist needed “special guests”? Anybody? Bueller? Frankly, I didn’t even know they were still doing Unplugged. Or that MTV played music at all. If they were going to revitalise this series, why with her? Why? The humanity!!!!
