Really glad that Amy won. She finally got it and deserved it so much. Breaking Bad also a great win but was kinda bummed that Kerry Washington didn’t win. I thought without Claire Danes in the category she might win it but guess not. Overall it was a long winded awards show and Tina and Amy did a fantastic job. Couldn’t believe that Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Andy Samberg won. This show is so over-rated. Its not that great and imo didn’t deserve to win. One of the other nominees should have won in both these categories. Also loved that Voight won too. He is the bad guy you love to hate in Ray Donovan and deserved his win. He plays the role so good.

Also glad Cate Blanchett, Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence won in the movie categories too but what was Jen wearing?

  2. nate says:

was i the only 1 shocked by B99…i mean i wasnt expecting both of them. I LOVE THE SHOW SO CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!

  3. The Golden Globe Awards is truly an overrated award shows it all seems you have to belong to a certain high society club a who’s who. For example Leonardo DiCarpio’s role in The Wolf of Wall Street was about SEX SEX GREED, and MONEY he always seems to take on roles as a rich character. Who votes for these shows/movies anyway. They should give other rising stars a chance. Idris Elba for Luther and the Butler with Forrest Whitaker was not even nominated!!! Anyone these days can get an award!!!

    • apres says:

I too was surprised The Butler didn’t even get production nods! And with Mandela’s death, you’d think at least one nomination would have made it. But like I said, Hollyweird will give it to “their favorite son/daughter” and not one who is truly deserving. They didn’t even give a nod to Robert Redford, the elder statesman of Hollywood.

How’s that for lack of respect???

  4. mark p says:

monica potter deserved that by a mile!
what planet are some of these judges on??

  5. Jared says:

Love Andy Samberg but im shocked about the B99 wins. Not a huge fan of the show but im happy to see it get some shine being its first season. Maybe this will actually get people to watch. Regardless these awards just secured B99 a 2nd season.

  6. MTB says:

B9 beat TBBT? Are you kidding me? Adam Samberg won too? That is a joke! He is a JOKE!!!

  7. Ethel says:

    Andy Samberg? Really?

  8. Apres Ski says:

It was more of the Cable side of TV than the TV Side of TV that won. And then it was move of the Movie side of cable than TV stars that won. I would have liked more TV jokes and winners from TV, like The Good Wife. But there’s always next year . . .

I was glad to see 12 Years A Slave recognized and win a Globe but I don’t think it will take the Oscars. I still think Hollyweird is going to give it to one of their own.

    • Kathy says:

12 Years A Slave was recognized yes that’s great. This too will never win an Oscar. America does not like to be reminded of it’s past. Try movies like “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” great nonsense will ranked Best Movie of the Year.
Loved Corey Stoll, House of Cards such devious behavior truly a believable TV drama on what goes on in politics.

  9. Jerry says:

Robin Wright played her role to perfection. I think there is a change in perceptions of the drama category, where previously best actresses have to be drama queens (aka Claire Danes/Kerry Washington style).

I think what hurt Tatiana Maslany is that she first got snubbed by Emmys because so few people even watch to nominate her, and then the backlash probably almost “forced” the Golden Globes to nominate her. Then, the critics and voters have to watch her performance and because everyone praised her to the heavens, just by the impossible standard and the bar set so high by the cult fans, in the critics eyes’ it was seen as overrated.
Or maybe they just want to take a break from “overacting roles” from Claire Danes.

And of course, there is this myth/truth in anywhere in any country’s award ceremonies, that there must be some “shock” and “snubs” so as to get people talking.

  10. Maggie says:

MONICA POTTER was robbed. Brooklyn 99 – are you kidding me????

  11. Catherine says:

Trophy Wife is by far the smartest and funniest new sitcom this season. I guess it is not a member of the old boys’ club responsible for selling these awards.

  12. Oh my goodness! Incredible article dude! Thank you, However I am experiencing
