Oprah Winfrey’s OWN has set a Sunday, March 9 premiere date for Lindsay, its new docuseries that “follows movie star and media sensation Lindsay Lohan on her journey through recovery following a very public period of crisis.”
Directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Amy Rice, it promises an “honest, no-holds-barred account” through which viewers will get “an intimate, unflinching look into the life of one of the world’s most sought-after celebrities.”
Other previously announced OWN docuseries getting launch dates are Deion’s Family Playbook (March 1), which focuses on the life of pro athlete Deion Sanders and his extended family, and Love In the City (April 12), which is about the fast-paced lives of four friends living in New York City.
OWN also ordered its fourth weekly scripted series, Single Moms Club, based on the forthcoming Tyler Perry film about a group of single women from different walks of life who bond following an incident at their children’s school. It will premiere in the fall.
