NBC Orders Craig Robinson Comedy Series

Premiere Of Columbia Pictures' "This Is The End" - ArrivalsNBC has handed a six-episode series order to Mr. Robinson, a single-camera comedy starring The Office‘s Craig Robinson, TVLine has confirmed.

The project, which has been in development at the Peacock for more than a year, finds the comic-actor playing a journeyman musician who takes a job as a music teacher at a middle school.

Back in the Game EPs Mark Cullen and Robb Cullen will serve as showrunners (the replace former Office boss Greg Daniuels, who is no longer involved).

  • I did not like when this man would sing a tune on The Office, so I’m a bit doubtful. Hopefully a great supporting cast can back up the already talented Robinson.

  • I’ve actually been very excited about this pilot, so this is great! I hope it doesn’t put either Community or Parks & Rec in jeopardy, but it most likely will. Still, I’m excited to see this!
