Kaye replaces Ron Moss, who shocked the soap world last summer when he announced that he was leaving Ridge behind after 25 years.
According to TV Guide Magazine, which broke the news, Kaye will make his B&B debut on Dec. 13.
The new gig means that the actor’s AMC days are effectively over. “I don’t have a contract there anymore,” Kaye told TVG of the in-limbo soap, which is currently on an indefinite hiatus. “There are a lot of talented and caring people over there and I wish them all luck. And I certainly hope that my leaving will not affect the show in some bad way.”
