Video: Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss Reacts to AMC's Controversial 'Split' Decision

Elisabeth Moss isn’t ready to let Peggy Olson go.

Addressing AMC’s controversial decision to air Mad Men‘s seventh and final season in two separate seven-episode chunks, the actress told me Sunday on the Emmys red carpet that she’s embracing the split season (to air over a two-year period) with open arms.

“It gives us all a chance to not have to say goodbye yet,” she said, “and I like that.”

She also points out that AMC’s divide and conquer strategy isn’t exactly hurting Breaking Bad.

Press PLAY below for my full Moss Q&A, during which the actress artfully tackles this question: Which of her two 2013 Emmy nominations meant more — the one for Mad Men or Top of the Lake? (Someone had to ask it!)

    Looks nice as a blonde…

  2. Don’t know which colored hair Elisabeth Moss looks better with: blonde or brunette.

  3. Ron says:

Of course she’s happy to embrace the split. It gives her and her fellow costars (namely Jon Hamm) a chance at actually winning an Emmy since the second part of their split won’t coincide with Breaking Bad. It may take a couple more years, and all the way up to season 7B, but I’d like to see someone (probably Hamm most of all) win an Emmy for acting.

Brilliant actress. She really needs to be awarded an Emmy for playing Peggy before the show is over.
