HBO’s Enlightened may not have scored a Season 3 pickup from HBO, but that did nothing to dampen Laura Dern’s good vibrations when TVLine’s Michael Ausiello caught up with her on the Emmy red carpet Sunday.

Dern, who created and starred in the sublime workplace dramedy, lavished praise on her partner in crime Mike White, discussed the importance of having closure at the end of Season 2 and gracefully handled a pesky bee all in the course of her interview.

  • I miss this show. It was great and Laura was fantastic. It seems they’re replacing it with “HR” starring Alicia Silverstone.

  • I am so sad to hear that there will not be a Season 3. I loved this show!! It really depicted the character’s feelings and thoughts.
