Ratings: Survivor's Return Tops Night, Big Brother Finale Down, X Factor Steady

Ratings Survivor Blood Vs WaterThe premiere of Survivor: Blood Vs. Water on Wednesday drew 9.5 million total viewers and a 2.6 rating — down double digits from last fall’s Philippines launch (11.4 mil/3.2) but up from the onset of February’s Caramoan edition (9 mil/2.4) and topping the night in the demo.

Leading out of that, the Big Brother finale retained 6.7 mil/2.4, down 9 percent and a tenth from last summer’s closer. (Read our recap.)


Over on NBC, the penultimate Million Second Quiz (4.9 mil/1.2) ticked up a tenth from Tuesday, while the America’s Got Talent (11.3 mil/2.5) improved on last year’s finale by 7 percent and a tenth.

Fox’s The X Factor matched last Wednesday’s demo number (2.2) while adding a few eyeballs (6.6 mil).

    I had no interest in the final 3. It was predictable to who was going to win. The show lost me when MacRae was voted out.

    There have been far worse seasons than this. That one with Hayden was horrible, right? He was a non entity and now we have to watch him on Survivor.

    how and why do people enjoy these brainless shows. T.V. is getting to the point where you’ll have someone on for half an hour farting and burping and it’ll be number one in the demo

    While this season was bad, Season 6 – The Friendship vs. the Nerd Herd was by doubt the worst season ever!

      while there were some terrible people in that season, my problem with season 15 is that there was no one too root for. Even after taking out the vile remarks and any sort of controversy, the cast seemed to be full of stupidity
