The network said the move was made to give the male-skewing series more of a promotional push during sports-heavy November and December.

Beginning Nov. 8, back-to-back original episodes of Raising Hope will air Fridays at 9 and 9:30 pm.

Enlisted stars Geoff Stults (The Finder), Chris Lowell (Veronica Mars), Angelique Cabral (Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23), Keith David (Platoon) and Parker Young (Suburgatory) and follows three very different brothers working together on a small military base in Florida.

  • This is just Fox treating Raising Hope like dog crap. Burn off all its episodes on Fridays. Disgusting.

    • I agree. Raising Hope is a great show, why are they burning it off on Friday? :( To make room for “Dads”…. really?! Once that show gets cancelled, I hope Raising Hope moves back to Tuesdays when it belongs.

  • I won’t watch it. It stars PIZ, for God’s sake!!!

    • Piz was great, thanks! Even if LoVe is meant to be.

      • No. No he wasn’t. He didn’t respect Veronica and Logan as a couple and couldn’t wait for them to break up so he could make his move. I hate him and I hate that VerPiz will be a couple in the movie.

        • Can you blame him? Who wouldn’t want to date Veronica?
But judging an actor for the actions of a character he played (a storyline he didn’t control) is ridiculous. He’s a good enough actor and seems like a really nice person. I’ll check out the show and see if I like it or not, but regardless, I wish him the best of luck in his career.

Comment by ZmaX – September 12, 2013 03:38 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Um, no it doesn’t. Piz was a fictional character. Does this mean you aren’t going to watch the movie? Because Piz is actually in that one.

Comment by Lauren – September 12, 2013 02:25 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • I didn’t stop watching Veronica Mars because Piz was in it, duuuh. I just will not follow the Piz actor to other projects.

Comment by alistaircrane – September 12, 2013 02:40 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • Do you also realise that Piz wasn’t Chris Lowell’s creation, he did not do the writing for the character and he was merely doing a job?

You know who did write Piz and his relationship with Veronica? The same guy that created the show and the Logan pairing. Because, you know, it’s a work of fiction….

          • Some people take TV way too seriously. And I say that as a huge TV fan.

Comment by Brooke – September 12, 2013 03:47 PM PDT
          • I take my TV very seriously and I feel slighted to be compared to rabid Piz-haters. Okay, he wasn’t Logan. Can we move on?

    • Piz rocks!

    • Are you the reason Dell died on Private Practice? Are you trying to get Chris Lowell kicked off of tv shows?

    • oh god you are being serious arent you?

  • Raising Hope is one sitcom people should NOT be watching. It may end after four seasons. :-(

Comment by Flacco Kapernick – September 12, 2013 02:20 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Why should people not be watching?? Its a great show! Funny and sweet.

Comment by Amanda – September 12, 2013 02:32 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • I agree, it is easily the best show currently on Fox.

Comment by Zach – September 12, 2013 02:38 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • DISAGREE. Moving Raising Hope to Fridays could be bad news going up against Grimm and Hawaii Five-O at 9 p.m. At least you guys don’t care about that.

Comment by Flacco Kapernick – September 12, 2013 02:49 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • Hawaii Five-O sucks. I can still watch Grimm and Raising Hope. It’s Kaepernick, by the way.

  • Back-to-back NEW Raising Hope episodes or a new episode and an old one? If it’s the former, such a shame. They are treating this awesome series like crap!

  • :(

  • I get that it’s not the best fit for Raising Hope, but why not bump up the Chris Meloni sitcom Surviving Jack? This just feels like a quick way for Fox to burn through enough Hope episodes to reach syndication, and that show deserves better.

  • Oh, FOX, when will you learn not to make such a stupid mistakes and such a stupid schedule?

Comment by Vlada – September 12, 2013 02:37 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • LMAO they’re putting it on Fridays to “give it a chance”?

Comment by Damien Roberts (@dam744) – September 12, 2013 02:39 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • It already has a whole family of Chances. What it needs is a decent time slot.

Comment by Alia – September 12, 2013 03:15 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Fox is so stupid. This show actually seems funny and would be a great companion to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, instead of Dads, which will be DOA as it looks freaking AWFUL.

Comment by Mel – September 12, 2013 02:41 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • It makes me sad to see Seth Green, one of the funniest men on the planet, wasting his talent on Dads. And Martin Mull. He’s pretty cool.

Comment by Zach – September 12, 2013 02:44 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • They can always switch Dads with Enlisted when Dads bombs

Comment by MDS – September 12, 2013 02:51 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Can’t believe they’re burning off Raising Hope. I hope Dads bombs so they can move the show back to Tuesdays at 8pm.

Comment by Steven – September 12, 2013 02:46 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • You don’t have to do much hoping, it’s basically guaranteed.

Comment by Zach – September 12, 2013 02:56 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Just cancel The X Factor or shove that to Fridays and get rid of the result show. Move Bones to Wednesdays and Raising Hope and whatever to Thursdays before Glee.

    Stupid Fox.

Comment by David4 – September 12, 2013 02:47 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Raising Hope should be back on Tuesdays. I expect Dads to be canceled about five minutes into its premiere.

Comment by Drew – September 12, 2013 02:49 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • This show looks awful. I wonder if it will ever actually air of if it will get Goodwin Games-ed.

Comment by Important feedback. – September 12, 2013 03:10 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • I think it will air. They never set an airdate for TGG until the last minute. The sad thing is, The Goodwin Games could have been Good and a win if they didn’t do all of the executive meddling (forcing them to cast Becki Newton, forcing them to make it a female centered comedy, forcing them to cast TJ Miller). They did all that forcing, but the best part was still Scott Foley.

Comment by Zach – September 12, 2013 03:23 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • Becky Newton was the best thing about it.

Comment by Cory – September 12, 2013 03:34 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
        • Seriously? She was so shrill! It made me lose all respect I had for her as an actor.

Comment by Zach – September 12, 2013 03:40 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • becki newton wasnt forced in by the executives, she worked with the people in charge on how i met your mother and was cast as a result of that.

Comment by Alan – September 12, 2013 03:46 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Damn. I actually was looking forward to this one.

Comment by M – September 12, 2013 03:18 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • well the show must be terrible then, cause thats the only reason something gets pushed to mid season no matter what the pr department says.

Comment by Alan – September 12, 2013 03:48 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Sounds like this show is going to be like The Goodwin Games. Fox should stop ordering too many shows considering they only have 2 hours of prime time every weekday night. I kinda feel bad for the actos if their show fails. At least Parker Young can go back to Surburgatory.

Comment by Shaun Ed – September 12, 2013 04:05 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • This is just another example of having no faith in a program. Pushing it back signals they are expecting it to fail. If they didn’t set a premiere date, I would have been happier, as Dads is certain to be canceled by week 3, and it could have replaced it

Comment by Sokratis – September 12, 2013 04:17 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Pushing it out of November doesnt tell me they think it will fail, tells me they want to use football to promote it. Nov is a terrible month to premiere a show on a Friday night! Having seen the pilot, it sounds like a great move to me, and hopefully it gets a Tuesday slot!

Comment by Brett – September 12, 2013 05:13 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • This is good for Enlisted (good time to promote male-skewing show is football season). This is bad for Raising Hope (episode burn-off is never good). And if the goal is to sacrifice RH to the TV gods rather than save the night, why even move Bones to Fridays. Sigh

Comment by madbengalsfan85 – September 12, 2013 06:25 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • …or Raising Hope could do well enough on Fridays to warrant another couple seasons. Its not like it has huge ratings or anything to warrant some plumb timeslot on FOX.
