NBC’s Sunday Night Football Thursday kick-off meanwhile dominated the night, averaging 25 million total viewers and a 10.0 demo rating based on very preliminary/almost-reckless-to-mention/Matt-should-update-later data for a live sporting event.

Over on ABC, Wipeout returned to 3.5 mil/1.1, up 38 percent in the demo versus Motive‘s finale, while Rookie Blue‘s penultimate Season 4 episode (4.2 mil/1.0) ticked up a tenth in the demo. To date, Rookie Blue is enjoying its most watched season in three years.

  • Haven’t had the chance to watch Rookie Blue yet but very happy to see these kind of ratings. It really is a great show.

It will be interesting to see how BB ratings are next week because everyone (supposedly, not me) is mad because Elissa was evicted and they are urging people to stop watching because of it. Every time I see crap like this I literally laugh out loud. I mean, of course, everyone is allowed their own opinion but to craft a boycott because your favorite didn’t win is pathetic.

  • “Ding, dong, the witches (plural) are dead.” Matt, why did you refer to Elissa as a witch? She wasn’t horrible like most of the other houseguests this season and she was the least offensive person left in the house.

    • We didn’t see much of it on the show but she was a pretty awful person. Live feeders have seen what an entitled, snooty b*tch she is.

      • Yep, she had great editing :-) So has Spencer. If it weren’t for the article about the child porn comments most people without the live feeds wouldn’t know about it. From what they’ve aired on the show he looks like a pretty stand up guy.

  • Really liked Rookie Blue. Its such a great summer show and Gregory Smith did a fantastic job directing last night’s episode. It deserves the good ratings and much more. So glad its coming back next season (thanks ABC!). The characters are relatable and the story lines are not too heavy.

    • Couldn’t agree more. Hate that next weeks episode is going to end on a cliffhanger but terrific episode last night!
