Yaaay about Angela on New Girl :D!!!

But that last Item, on Hart Hanson’s new romantic drama, doesn’t that sound exactly like a bunch of other dramas already on the air? Doesn’t really seem a very original story, just more of the same, like Castle or The Mentalist. They’re both shows I enjoy very much, but don’t need to see another version of. Not even when this one is located in San Fransisco, which is a less often used city I suppose. Guess we’ll just have to see what they can come up with to make this idea different.

I think they need to be careful. If people feel like a show is too similar to one we already watch, it can backfire. Instead of going ‘oh I’ll watch that too’ fans tend to get protective, fearing a loss of viewers from the show they like. It’d be one thing if it was a mega hit show without a likelihood of being cancelled after a slight dip, but a lot of what we watch these days has to fight harder for a smaller audience. Let’s see what time slot they give it.

I wish that Angela Kinsey would play another character besides the grumpy/bratty/snobby one.
