Ratings: CBS Sunday Only Dips Slightly Despite TWC Blackout, Secret Millionaire Depreciates
Despite being blacked out by Time Warner Cable to 3.2 million of its customers in the major markets of New York, Los Angeles and Dallas, CBS’ Sunday line-up only experienced slight declines.
Opening the night, 60 Minutes drew 8.1 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating, down 3 percent and a tenth. Big Brother (6.8 mil/2.2) and Unforgettable (7 mil/1.2) meanwhile matched their week-ago audiences while ticking down a tenth in the demo.
NBC’s Sunday Night Football pre-season coverage dominated Sunday with a prelim audience of 9.1 mil/3.3 rating — down some 11 percent from the fast nationals for the last time NBC hosted a pre-season opener.
Elsewhere, ABC’s Secret Millionaire returned to 5 mil and a 1.2, down 11 and 20 percent from last summer’s premiere, and Whodunnit? (3 mil/1.0) tied season lows.
