Supernatural Scoop: Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki Tease Dean's Big Secret About Sam

Supernatural Season 9 SpoilersSomeone’s got a secret on Supernatural, and it’s a major one.

When the CW series returns Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Winchesters will have to band together like never before to deal with the aftermath of Metatron’s actions in Heaven, not to mention handling Crowley and his ilk.

But all of that may prove difficult when a key piece of intel threatens to pull the brothers apart.

“They’ve got angels, they’ve got demons and all the other stuff in between to now deal with,” star Jensen Ackles previewed at Comic-Con. “They’ve got to figure out how to navigate the terrain with all the new elements. They’re really going to need each other more than ever at this point, and they’re going to have to rely on each other more than ever, which is going to be difficult because there’s a secret that Dean is harboring right now from Sam.”

So what is this hidden info, which Ackles called “one of the bigger issues of the series” and “a massive wrench” in the brothers’ relationship?

“It really heavily involves Sam,” revealed his costar Jared Padalecki. “It even has a lot to do with why Sam’s still alive.”

While the outcome of the secret is good – Sam’s still here, after all! — the elder Winchester is not feeling so great about keeping it under wraps. “Dean is continuing to lie to Sam, and he’s hating it every step of the way,” continued Padalecki. “And Sam can’t really tell. Sam’s like, ‘OK, I remember our conversation about teamwork, so I’m going to take you at your word.’ But when Sam finds out, s–t’s going to hit the fan.”

Padalecki, however, is optimistic. “I hope Sam will understand,” he said. “I’m sure there will be a time when he does not, when he’s upset just because Dean begged him to stop something and offered honesty and partnership and then, right off the bat, is keeping a secret… I like Sam being alive, so I hope he forgives the guy.”

In the meantime, the Winchesters will find themselves fighting side by side. “Given the fact that the brothers chose each other, essentially, instead of closing the gates of Hell, that has now given them a lot to deal with,” teased Ackles, adding that the enormity of their new fallen angel reality means “they’re really going to have to unite… For right now, they’re on the same page. We’ll see how long that lasts.”

How? Remember season 5 about the bloodline that was in John, Sam and Dean’s blood? That wouldn’t be possible if Sam was adopted.

Dean is going to Hell, that is the secret………

Here is my take on it, and its probably way off, but…..the big issue with the brothers is Sam and his demon blood. Unfortunately, Sam has it in him and he needs it in him to live. When he drank it, Dean hated it and Sam wasn’t thrilled having it in him, but it did make Sam stronger. Sam always wanted to be “normal” and “Pure”. The trials seemed to be making Sam feel better about himself, like he was doing some good. However, I think with each trial being completed, Sam was becoming more normal and his blood more pure, but since he needs demon blood to live, he is also becoming weaker and more sick with each trial completion. My theory is that Sam almost dies (maybe that is when death shows up) but Dean figures out Sam needs the blood to live and secretly injects it into him (or something along those lines) while he is sick to keep him alive. Sam ends up getting better because of it, but when he eventually finds out Dean gave him the demon blood when he was finally feeling better about himself and becoming “normal”, he gets pissed. Eventually, though, hopefully, he sees Deans intentions as good and forgives him. Just a thought.

While keeping secrets from each other is done every season, I still look forward to watching it. It would be great as a comical episode if they switched bodies and had to play each other. I also would finally like to see God make an appearance. I imagine if that happens though, it won’t be until the end.

to all the people who are complaining about what Supernatural or what this big secret is please just stop. If your already disliking it than you all are being rational about the whole thing when it hasnt even started, also if your not going to like it than dont watch it and stop your complaing. Like the Directors said this is something they never do so i am 100% sure they are going to b low our minds again with something so amazing like they did with the past 8 seasons. In the end supernatural has one of the best actors for a TV show, there is literally nothing Jared and Jensen couldnt do,The same goes for Misha too. Also to all the people who think oh Sam is the only one who gets major attention and Dean doesnt, well your wrong. They are brothers so what happens to one brother the other brother is affected in some way, yeah Sam has been more of the center of attention with the whole deom situation Dean is still also has alot of attention because he is trying everything he can do to protect his little brother from anything. No matter what in the end Sam and Dean both have the same attention. No matter how season 9 will go i bet we all will be shocked with what the out come is, because with Supernatural they throw in twists that we could never imagine and it keeps us on the edge of seats wanting to know what happens next. so in the end in my opinion i think season 9 of Supernatural will be spectacular like the previous seasons before it.
