Falling Skies Cast Talks Trippy Episode, Anne's 'Return,' Intense Finale and Cochise's Real Name

Don’t believe everything you see as TNT’s Falling Skies serves up “Strange Brew” — aka one of its wildest episodes — this Sunday, July 21.

Swinging by TVLine’s Comic-Con interview suite, cast members Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Connor Jessup, Drew Roy, Sarah Sanguin Carter, Doug Jones, a barely recognizable Colin Cunningham and Will Patton teased the extremely trippy hour while revealing almost nothing — save for the bit of camera trickery needed to film a (spoiler alert!) diner scene, due to Bloodgood’s maternity leave.

Also in this video Q&A: Get scoop on how the season finale really put Jones to work, playing not just Cochise but (many?!) other Volm. The actor also lets loose with his alter ego’s real name, which is unprintable here (if only because it might break our keyboard).

They said Cochise’s real name on the show already when they met the President.

i hope its more than 5 seasons!

  3. Karen MT says:

Colin is only barely recognizable if you’ve only seen him in Falling Skies. His appearance in FS freaks me out a bit after watching him so many times in Stargate SG1.

  4. Joey says:

Great interview with the cast. Colin looks different without his Pope look on Falling Skies. I can’t wait to see the new episode tomorrow.

  5. Douglas Hillyer says:

I like the show and can’t wait for more falling skies to peek my interest.

With the always uncertain TV ratings, TNT’s Falling Skies this past Sunday was down 29 percent from its premiere. And it’s clear producers tried their best to keep the audience watching but TNT’s Falling Skies has had a roller coaster season. It was disappointing to see another TV show with a human alien baby or another show with alien parasites. It would seem if the intentions were to have human alien babies, any women could be impregnated and the same with alien parasites, everyone could be “bugged”. Why have alien babies or alien parasites? The writers and producers need to be more creative. The Skitters and harnessed kids was a good idea. As Falling Skies wraps it third season, during the off season it would be great if the writers and producers planned a last episode where someone saves humankind and reclaims the planet, just in case the ratings start dropping and it’s inevitable that the show is coming to an end.

As much as I love this show, the finale episode seemed a bit rushed. More like wrapping up loose ends and when the Volm weapon attacked the tower, it didn’t seem to make much of an impact at first, Then…. just when we thought all was lost, and it did no damage, it collapses. I was expecting more of an explosion. Disappointed! It just seemed way too easy.

What’s with Maggie?? Are we starting to see the real Maggie? Maybe she is meant to be with Pope and the Berserkers after all. . She wanted to kill Lourdes and she nailed Karen with not one bullet, but two! Enough! Tom already shot her in the chest. I think at the moment as Karen was dying, she was trying to redeem herself and tell Hal how she felt, Maggie felt threatened and killed her Was it out of jealousy, or that Karen would win Hal back? That was a shock. I think that moment seriously put a kink in hers and Hal’s relationship. Honeymoon’s over I think. She just seemed so cold-hearted and now that the threat (Karen) has been destroyed, she wants to be on her own. Good Riddance Maggie. Poor Hal. Can’t seem to find the right woman.

As far as Alexis. I don’t know what they will do with her rapid aging. I was also wondering how Tom and Anne came to have a hybrid child. Did the aliens do something to Tom’s DNA when they took him at the end of the first season?

It seems that Lourdes is no longer infected. I hope they amp up Season 4!!! There can be so many great storylines for the characters.

Love this show…but fans blasting it constantly because there aren’t enough episodes is not a good thing. Can’t we just enjoy what we get? If 3 episodes of Sherlock a year are worth waiting for, why aren’t 10 episodes of Falling Skies enough? Would I like to see more? Absolutely. But it doesn’t stop me from really appreciating each and every episode. IMHO.
