Hannibal Season 2: Bryan Fuller, Hugh Dancy Tease a 'Scrappy,' 'More Calculating' Will Graham

Will Graham is mad as hell, and he’s not going to take it anymore.

That was the general gist from Hannibal showrunner Bryan Fuller and star Hugh Dancy, as they spoke with Michael Ausiello about Season 2 of the dark, dark NBC drama, at TVLine’s Comic-Con interview suite.

Fuller, who was joined by exec producers David Slade and Martha de Laurentiis, said that when the series returns at midseason — picking up “a short time after the finale,” in which Dancy’s addled alter ego was institutionalized — we will ultimately see “a scrappy Will Graham coming out swinging…. We get to see what happens when he fights back.”

  6. RG says:

You’re sitting in front of Bryan Fuller and you don’t ask a single question about Pushing Daisies *tsk* *tsk*

  7. The lack of replies here fills me with dread. Oh, well. At least I get a season two. Here’s hoping there’s a season three somewhere out there. But yeah, definitely want to see Will manipulate Hannibal this season. Turnabout is fair play.

Here’s to hoping that every season will have a couple offers to continue if NBC gets too scared. Hannibal is quite big in Europe (if that even counts for you guys^^), so it is appreciated, even with these few comments showing for it.

I am also gonna love love love the game that will be played between Will and Hannibal – that is gonna be some exciting mindf****ng :)

omg Hugh is married to Claire Danes? How could i not have missed that :O Well, whatever.. great to hear, that they’ll try to get Gillian as much as possible – she was awesome (as was the rest of the Cast :))

  9. Liz says:

Great interview! Getting pretty excited for season 2! (Also, I have to say – such a better and more professional interview than the one I saw over on ew.com)

I’m so excited for season 2! Great interview, I’m looking forward to all of your comic con interviews – it almost makes up for not being there (no it doesn’t)!

  11. PB says:

Only downer is that fans of the show have to wait so long. Truly one of the best shows on broadcast TV. I love that they only do a half season so that the richness of the series can shine through, but as Petty says, the waiting is the hardest part.

  12. Great interview.Hugh Dancy is amazing :)

  13. Mikael says:

Can’t wait for season 2! And I’m glad Gillian is coming back. There was something very cold yet seductive about her character. I was entranced by her.

So excited about the 2nd series, was so worried the USA wouldn’t have hit quota and us Brits missed out.
