Family Guy Simpsons EpisodeCowabunga, dude!

We thought we we’d never live to see the day that Family Guy’s Griffin family met Bart’s bunch from The Simpsons, but that day is rapidly approaching. TVLine has learned that in a fall 2014 episode of Family Guy, Peter & Co. pay a visit to Springfield, where they’ll be befriended by Homer & Co.

It doesn’t matter in the least to Homer that Peter is (in his jaundiced eyes) albino — in no time, the plus-sized pals are drinking brews and debating whether Duff or Pawtucket is the better beer. Meanwhile, Stewie is charmed by Bart’s old-school mischief; Lisa makes it her mission to find Meg’s talent (good luck with that!); and Marge and Lois become bosom buddies.

What do you think? Can the crossover possibly be good enough to satisfy fans of both shows? Is it destined to be an insta-classic? Hit the comments!

  • I am a Simpsons fan at first I found that this will be one big great idea but after remembering that this might be the last season of the Simpsons I am afraid that this crossover will be so gd that they will keep it permanent and I hate that to happen I mean I want the Simpsons to continue even more than 25 season but not like this.

  • hmmmmnnnn!

An intriguing idea, bt y nt pair stewie wif a lil love obssession about Homers baby, and y cant Meg be the hottest girl in d whole of Springfield, i mean, dere drawings differ totally.so dats plausible, and may be Peter & Homer get some laughs off Mr Burns or better yt Lois dad could be 1 of Mr Burns competitors afterall dey both rich, so cos of dt, he kidnaps Lois or 1 of dem(just saying)
& pls put quagmire sumwhere in dere.

if we’re gonna do dis lets milk it 4 all its worth, get more imaginative. COMMON!!!

    • Oh YES YES! Mr Burns VS Carter – excellent idea!!!!!! Hope they read the comments to add it in!
Maybe that’s how Homer and Peter meets – the episode brings them together after Burns and Carter have some sort of business monopoly conflict!

I am also thinking, if there is some way to bring in Quagmire! How can we live without that JIGGITY JIGGITY JIGGITY ?

  • Did this article seriously start with “Cowabunga”? What’s next “Underachiever and Proud of It”. Bart hasn’t “cowabunga” in about 22 years now. Eat my shorts.

Yes, eat ALL of our shirts.

    • Yet, you read “Cowabunga, dude”, and what does it evoke? The Simpsons and only The Simpsons. It’s a perfectly appropriate opening line.

  • I really love the idea, but as long as they don’t make it a PEACEFUL visit to each other.
Making entire family match in to each other’s character clone- doesn’t sound too new. That idea was done in Simsons and Family guy, where family meets another family.
Make some interesting conflict, where Peter and Homer conflict each other (not just their booze choice) OH! Make the evil chicken appear between them!!!!!!!!!!! This what will bring them together. And yet Homer with Peter compete with each other – who is the craziest (and dumbest).
Stewie meeting Bart???? No no no! Stewie is too smart for Bart to communicate with.
Bart matches up to Chris! They are both school boys, and match to each other with their poor intelligence.
Stewie should be making an evil plans along with Maggie. Maggie don’t talk, but She still works as better match.
Mixing the two family universes? Old and beaten down idea. Sounds tempting, but NO, don’t use it.
Anyways, bring Simpsons and Family Guy together in the episode! It is certainly fun, just like Family guy mix with star wars.

    • P.S. – someone mentioned matching Mr Burns with Carter! That sounds brilliant actually! Maybe the families get to meet each other after Burns and Carter end up in a fight over some business monopoly. This brings together Peter and Homer, and then both families.
I also hope we will see Quagmire in the episode, excited to flirt with ladies around Springfield, but that does not work out too well for him! Jiggity jiggity jiggity!

  • anyone who says they think this going to be “the worst idea ever”? is a fool! i think this is going to be cool!! i cant wait! it is like when Roger from American Dad, wound up on an episode of family guy after Peter and Brian traveled back in time..

  • Great idea to merge Family Guy and the Simpsons. Even better is that The Cleveland Show is FINISHED!!! Terrible black references!

  • If there’s a crossover between these two series, it’s the unraveling that Stewie is Mr. Burns son, which was the end result when Burns had sex with that policewoman.

This also could be a crossover with Part 1 starting on the Simpson’s end.

  • Really is it no different than many years back when The Flintstones met the Jetsons???? Why cant we come up with something new in the tv world rather re making a remake of something already done! Just saying…..

  • Companied with Family Guy, the Simpsons story lines are almost totally sexless. The violence in the Simpsons, with the exception of the Itchy & Scratchy shows, vs. the violence in the Family Guy shows is almost nonexistent. Also, Santa’s Little Helper is a non-talking sexless dog whereas Brian talks & screws everything (female male & inanimate object) he can.

  • These two shows with two families that most people in America will find the most hilarious will find themselves in the exact same situation to whatever and whenever it is going to air, I believe late September 2014.

I can’t wait to see the two families meet each other, it will be better than the one with Family Guy and American Dad, two Seth MacFarlane shows, and I want to see the two families with these interactions…

    Peter – Homer

    Lois- Marge

    Chris – Bart

    Meg – Lisa

    Brian- Santa’s Little Helper

    Stewie – Maggie

The relationship between Maggie and Stewie will be worth the price of admission if you know what I mean.
