OWN Greenlights Lindsay Lohan Docu-Series

Lindsay Lohan OWN SeriesOWN has given the green light to a docu-series following actress-turned-tabloid magnet Lindsay Lohan.

As first reported by EW.com, the project, to bow in 2014, will shadow the actress as she fights to stay healthy (she’s currently serving a 90-day court-ordered rehab stint) and rebuild her career (she recently starred in Lifetime’s critically-panned Liz & Dick and dropped by Anger Management).

Additionally, OWN helmer Oprah Winfrey has scored an exclusive sitdown with a post-rehab Lohan, which will air as a special this August.

Lindsay is the latest Lohan to venture into reality television. The actress’ mother, Dina, and siblings once starred in E!’s Living Lohan, while her father, Michael, participated in VH1’s Celebrity Rehab.

    No, just no.

  2. Steven says:

    Lord help us.

  3. alison says:

Really?! The most important thing for her is to stay healthy and focus on herself and her sobriety out of the spotlight, her “career” or her need to try and rebuild it should be put on the backburner for a long time!

    • Bryce says:

Maybe her career could keep her busy. An casual drinker who loses their job could easily become an alcoholic. Career is an important part of one’a life, and it should be in balance with all mental health, emotional health, etc. Lohan’s career is in the spotlight so she needs to be in the spotlight to be healthy as a whole. And her being in the spotlight will not change. She’s got to learn to cope and be healthy while in the spotlight at the same time.

  4. Allyson says:

Oprah seriously?! This girl will never get healthy! She is constantly in trouble. How does she stay out of jail? She gets freed so many times, when a non-celeb would probably have to serve years for all the stuff she has done.

  5. Katrina says:

I really hope she can pull her life together! This could be good for her. Maybe Oprah will give her a place to stay so she isn’t with her mother and take her under her wing?! She is a talented actress that just needs help and guidance, she has never had that. Im looking forward to the interview..Oprah will ask her the tough questions and wont take no bs!

  6. Just sayin says:

No thanks. I have no desire to watch this self entitled train wreck. I can’t think of any actress less deserving of a so called second chance.

  7. chloe says:

Way to go Oprah. I think you’ve finally hit rock-bottom.

  8. AJ says:

There are so many people, dead and alive, that have done so much for the world, and she is the person that gets a docu? This is just ridiculous..

  9. Jared says:

I’m probably one of the few people who are actually rooting for Lindsay. Has she made some horrible choices?..Yes but hopefully with Oprah behind her now she can overcome whatever she’s going through and move on with her life.

  10. mdbchud says:

Well, here comes the Apocalypse everyone!

  11. I wish this girl would just go away already. If we and the media would just leave her alone (though I don’t think Lindsay would ever survive w/o the constant attention) she might actually have a chance in staying sober but alas that will never happen. Let the death clock begin b/c it is only a matter of time before she joins others like her (didn’t she just turn 27?) Bad omen…

  12. seth says:

You really know your own stuff… Carry on the good work!

  13. Louise says:

I openly admit that I watched this series. As someone who grew up watching films like The Parent Trap and Mean Girls. I’m still secretly hoping that Lindsay will some how find her way back.
