On TV this Friday: XIII rages against the machine in its finale, Brian Williams ushers Rock Center to the sidelines, it’s a heck of a high holy day in Magic City and it’s Showtime for a grown-up Kid in the Hall. Here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.
8 pm Dateline NBC (NBC) | A look into the real story – teens robbing Hollywood celebs – that inspired Sofia Coppola’s new film, The Bling Ring.
8:30 pm Jessie (Disney Channel) | Jessie loses Zuri’s class rabbit.
9 pm Magic City (Starz) | Ben seeks permission to kill Ike and hosts a debauched seder.
9 pm The Following (Fox) | Repeat to Revisit: Don’t think about about how the season ended for Emma, Jacob and Paul. Instead, remember them how they are in tonight’s shower scene: twisted, hot and at least partially naked.
10 pm XIII: The Series (Reelz) | Season finale: XIII, Betty and Barnabis rush to stop the fully operational Chinese HEARPE machine before it unleashes its destructive force on the United States. (Not yet renewed.)
10 pm Rock Center With Brian Williams (NBC) | Series finale: Sorry, Bri. At least you’ve got the six-o’clock broadcast and slow jamming the news to keep you occupied.
10 pm Continuum (Syfy) | Kiera investigates a new street drug, called Flash, that she recognizes from her future. Flash! Ah-ahh!
10 pm Maron (IFC) | After Marc rejects his “sexfest” fling, she comes between him and his assistant Kyle. Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation) guest-stars.
10:15 pm 72 Hours (TNT) | In this installment of the extreme competition, strangers dropped in Hawaii must make their way through dense brush and abandoned beaches. (Just a tip: If a giant smoke monster appears, you’re royally screwed.)
11 pm Dave Foley: Relatively Well (Showtime) | The NewsRadio alum riffs on a variety of topics, including his ex-wife and people who don’t believe in science, in this stand-up comedy special.
