What to Watch Thursday: Glee, Community and Other Finales, Hannibal Meets Scully and More

GleeOn TV this Thursday: Glee, Community, Two and a Half Men and Person of Interest close shop for the season; storms bear down on Vampire Diaries and Grey’s Anatomy; Hannibal gets x-filed and more. 8 pm American Idol (Fox) | The top two contenders are revealed; Alicia Keyes and Season 10’s Lauren Alaina perform.

8 pm The Vampire Diaries (The CW) | As graduation day approaches, a wind storm causes a power outage in town and ghosts – some good, some vengeful – appear.

8 pm Community (NBC) | Season finale: Jeff achieves enough credits to graduate, and the study group revisits the “darkest timeline.” (Not yet renewed; find out its current status.)

8 pm The Big Bang Theory (CBS) | When the girls’ trip to Vegas falls through, they join the guys for a very eventful game of Dungeons & Dragons. (Get scoop!)

8:30 pm Two and a Half Men (CBS) | Season finale: Walden dates a hot 22-year-old (Lizzie McGuire‘s Hilary Duff) but finds himself more attracted to her grandmother (Taxi‘s Marilu Henner). (Yep, renewed.)

9 pm Person of Interest (CBS) | Season finale: Reese and Finch – with some surprising allies – race to save The Machine from Root and Decima. In the process, the truth comes out about Finch’s relationship with former partner Nathan Ingram and his original motivation for wanting to save the irrelevant numbers. (Yep, already renewed.)

9 pm The Office (NBC) | One-hour penultimate episode: As the office prepares for the premiere of the documentary, Jim holds tryouts for the assistant to the assistant regional manager and Dwight plans to propose to Esther.

10 pm Hannibal (NBC) | Gillian Anderson (The X-Files) debuts as Hannibal’s therapist, Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier; Will has nightmares in which he is Abigail Hobbs’ father.

10 pm Elementary (CBS) | Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones, The Tudors) begins a three-episode arc as Sherlock’s former love Irene Adler in an episode that finds Sherlock hoping a case from Moriarty will bring him closer to finding his nemesis.

    This time last year I was almost crying that we’d never see Community ever again. After the current season I don’t even care. Surprising what can change.

      I know. Now it seems so gimmicky now. I’m hoping for a mind-blowing finale….

      Agreed about Community. Without Dan Harmon the show has just been a tired copy of previous seasons. No real standout moments of brilliance. I’m bummed, but it will make it easier to let go if it doesn’t get renewed.

      Truth. So sad it’s come to this but this season has just dampened any feelings I’ve had about Community. It’s not been good at all. Not all terrible but not the show I used to love.

    I started Hannibal because of two reasons:

    a) SOTL is one of my all time favorite thrillers
    b) GILLLIAN FRIKKIN ANDERSON!!! so finally – woohoo!!

      i remember when POI started last year and it wasnt doing well. but the show pressed on and now its bomb ass and popular. wish more shows that are gone too soon would get that chance.
