Kristen Wiig Cooks Up Kooky Characters in New Saturday Night Live Promo

Get More: Late Night TV, Video

Jump-roping Rhonda? Annabel Johnson, the Mean Veterinarian? These are a couple of the characters that Kristen Wiig is brainstorming for her return to the Saturday Night Live stage this weekend, and we’ve got your sneak peek.

Wiig, who left SNL as a regular cast member in May 2012, will make her hosting debut on Saturday (11:29/10:29c, NBC), and the video  below features five different promos she filmed alongside former colleague Fred Armisen.

Watch her get a crisp slap in a soap-opera style exchange, reveal where she’s been hiding out since exiting the sketch-comedy series, order up a promo on the phone (with a side of Olivia Newton John), and join forces with Armisen to do what their bodies feel is right (!).

Excited about Wiig’s return? Sound off in the comments, and come back Sunday morning for our episode recap!

  • I’m sorry but I don’t find her funny. Never have. Also thought Bridesmaids very overrated.

  • I hope Timberlake comes back and does Target Lady and Peg. I am looking forward to this show because, as a former cast member, she knows how things work and she won’t need to read off cue cards hopefully.
