8 pm Dancing With the Stars (ABC) | Two-hour Season 16 premiere: General Hospital‘s Ingo Rademacher, NewsRadio‘s Andy Dick and Bachelor Sean Lowe (among others) brave the parquet.

8 pm The Biggest Loser (NBC) | Two-hour season finale: All of this season’s contestants return for the live final show, where the fittest remaining player will take home $250,000.

8 pm The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABC Family) | Midseason premiere: Anne questions Robie’s paternity, and Ethan wants to fly to Texas to talk to Kathy’s parents.

8 pm Continuum (Syfy) | Season 1 finale: Kiera races to stop a terrorist attack that will define Alec and Julian’s place in history. (Yep, already renewed.)

8 pm How I Met Your Mother (CBS) | Barney’s reluctant to sell his bachelor pad, and Lily’s commitment to her job as The Captain’s art consultant strains her relationship with Marshall.

9 pm Top of the Lake (Sundance) | Two-hour premiere: This transportive, intriguing and compelling seven-part miniseries – written and directed by Jane Campion (The Piano) — stars Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men) as a New Zealand detective investigating the disappearance of a pregnant 12-year-old girl. Holly Hunter (Saving Grace) co-stars.

9:30 pm Mike & Molly (CBS) | On St. Patrick’s Day, Molly shamrocks Mike’s world with juicy tales of her wearin’-o’-the-green past.

10 pm Bates Motel (A&E) | Series premiere: Freddie Highmore (Finding Neverland) and Vera Farmiga (Up in the Air) star as a teenage Norman Bates and his mother in this contemporary prequel to Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. Nestor Carbonell (Lost), Richard Harmon (The Killing) and Max Thieriot (The Pacifier) co-star in the project from Lost‘s Carlton Cuse and Friday Night Lights‘ Kerry Ehrin.

10 pm Deception (NBC) | Season finale: Who killed Vivian? We find out tonight. (Catching the culprit, however, is what Season 2 — which our scorecard currently has as a “long-shot” — is about.)

10 pm Hawaii Five-0 (CBS) | Catherine goes undercover at a roller derby to find a killer. Dog The Bounty Hunter‘s Duane “Dog” Chapman guest-stars as himself, Christine Lahti returns as McGarrett’s momma.

      I was thisclose to getting tickets to see this at Sundance (because of Jay Ryan) and was so relieved that he didn’t go. I did watch the first ep on iTunes though and it’s pretty breathtaking.

    Deception – I so hope that there will be a season 2. I’m really enjoying this show. It just keeps getting better and has a wonderful cast.

    Deception finale! C’mon Deception fans, watch it live like it’s the final gift we can give to the wonderful writers and great cast (apart from Alonso) who can deliver us this juicy murder drama series.

    Cannot wait for Top of the Lake (JAY RYAN!!) and Bates Motel. I watched the first ep of Bates Motel on OnDemand and it’s one of the best pilots I’ve ever seen…totally creepy and great atmosphere. I see Emmys in Freddie Highmore’s future!

    Deception has gotten so good. Victor Garber is phenomenal. I’d really like to see it get a 2nd season. Maybe another short order that will air midseason again. Continuum is another one that started kinda “meh” but got really good. I hope Syfy doesn’t wait so long to air season 2. I like the Following too, but my Monday is too crowded. Thankfully Fox repeats the episodes on Saturday nights, so I watch it then.

    I must admit that prior to reading this article, I had never heard of Top of the Lake, but I took a class in college about Jane Campion so reading the description definitely piqued my interest in the show! It sounds pretty intriguing.
