May Sweeps Scorecard 2013: Deaths, Weddings, Births, Sex, Resurrections, Firings and More!

May Sweeps Scorecard 2013If May Sweeps is just around the corner — and the calendar says it is — that means two things, one even better than the other: 1) TV is about to get good! And 2) it’s time for TVLine’s May Sweeps Scorecard!

Like always, the Scorecard is brimming not only with Sweeps spoilers but also with season finale spoilers! And, same as last year, many of the teasers are hidden beneath a [SPOILER] tag — in other words, you’re gonna have to put on your guessing caps to figure out who’ll be doing what to (and/or with) whom.

RELATED | 2013 Renewal Scorecard: What’s Getting Cancelled? What’s Coming Back? What’s on the Bubble?

A few things to remember before you scroll down and read on:

• Firstly, the bulk of the entries below pertain to series regulars or recurring characters from shows that air on a broadcast network (i.e. ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, The CW).

• Secondly, as the twists begin to leak, the Scorecard will be updated (and re-updated… ) until, finally, all the blanks are filled in and/or replaced by even more items! (Mind you, so as not to give away any classified intel, the blanks will often remain blank until after the plots to which they refer untwist on screen.) Regardless, so we strongly suggest you bookmark this puppy and check back for updates.

• Lastly, if it’s on the Scorecard, it happens during May Sweeps, which this year begins April 25 and ends May 22.

OK, now you can go ahead and start reading The Third Annual TVLine May Sweeps Scorecard! Hey, did you already start? Bastards, the lot of you!

  1. hello says:

Agent Fornell on NCIS should be under possible fatalities

    • Candace Fox says:

I was just coming here to post the same thing. If Bodner, a person who randomly showed up for a couple of episodes gets a spot, so should Fornell, who’s been around since the pilot.

    • Travis says:

Just my opinion, but with the hesitation Gibbs had, to me he clearly was waiting for someone to emerge from the car, not looking to take out Fornell, that could be why Fornell isn’t listed as a possible fatality.

    • Jerri says:

In that case Possible Fatalities should also include Deeks and Sam because their lives are left hanging in a balance at the end of the season (whilst yes, Michelle was literally hanging in the balance). I don’t think Fornell is the possible fatality, he was clearly protecting/shadowing someone in the car, and that’s who Gibbs was really meant to take out.

I don’t think Gibbs would kill Fornell just so everyone of them can get a clean slate. I mean, why Fornell of all the people? There’s been no lead up to that. Guess we’ll have to see what happens when the new season premieres.

      • Ang says:

For some reason, I do not believe Ziva’s dad is dead. I can’t think who else is out there that warrants Fornell’s protection and would have that shock value when they reveal and Gibbs shoots.

  2. kirads09 says:

Will Deeks and Kensi NCIS LA count as a couple who kissed for the first time? He really “communicated” ♥

  3. Maria says:

What about job changes on NCIS?

  4. Rachel says:

“Number of vampires taking the cure for immortality”, I think this should say “mortality” considering that the vampires are already immortal?

  5. Joao Gordinho says:

shouldn’t the time warp be the office in the finale

  6. mkayvee says:

Does Fornell not count as a possible fatality on NCIS?

  7. Ben says:

How does Cece and Shivrang not count as a broken engagement?

  8. Lily says:

When you see those many [SPOILER] signs at the “possible fatalities” part, you know that the Shondaland finales haven’t aired yet….

  9. rmr says:

Callie and Arizona will break up.. Why, Shonda, why! :0(

  10. Arrow Fan says:

Thommy from arrow died on the season finale (May 15) episode.

  11. Ang says:

I hope they keep Michelle on NCIS: LA. I think she accents the show and is a great compliment to Todd’s character. I also hope they do not mirror regular NCIS killing yet another spouse sending the husband on a vendetta.

  12. Lady K says:

So, I am thinking we need major updates from last night’s season finales: 2 deaths from Arrow (Malcolm and Tommy Merlyn — if Yao Fei can make the list, both of them need to make it), Major job changes: Cas from Supernatural (if he lost his grace, then he is no longer an angel, correct? That is a PRETTY MAJOR job change). An argument can also be made for Crowley having a job change. Sam may not have “cured” him but he was discussing looking for atonement for his transgressions and that could be interpreted as meaning his job as the King of Hell is no longer applicable… Also, I am thinking Moira Queen (Arrow) will no longer be the CEO of Queen Enterprises now that she has been arrested for conspiracy, murder, and assorted other crimes tied to the Undertaking…just saying!

  13. You should also count Agent Tobias Fornell from NCIS as a “possible fatality.” SPOILER: We heard a gunshot, but we don’t know if he was indeed shot or not. And maybe you should also count Shivrang and Taylor Swift’s “Elaine” from NEW GIRL as an “engagement” because he was at least a recurring character. I see you’ve counted his “break-up” with Cece already.

  14. Joel says:

Malcom (Arrow) is neither in the fatalities or possible fatalities?

  15. Jacqi says:

Jolene from Nashville died last night. Shouldn’t that be under deaths? Hoping the last spot is for Jo and Alex under the I love you/kissing/sex category.

  16. Katie says:

There was an “I Love You” from Penny to Leonard on BBT

  17. Jackie H says:

The Office has to count as a time jump!

  18. Laura says:

Jo and Alex kissed and Alex said ILY :)

  19. Natalie says:

Raj and Lucy broke up on TBBT and Leonard got a new job.

  20. We already know there’s a fatality in Grimm — both Bree Turner and Claire Coffee have said so — though they may be coming back. Possible fatality?

  21. Eden says:

What about Matt-Rebekah kiss on TVD?

  22. Azerty says:

I am so glad Richard on Grey’s Anatomy is only under possible fatalities, that means there is chance that Baily finds him and saves him next year!

  23. Mia says:

Shouldn’t Matt and Rebekah be on the “couples having sex, kissing or saying “I Love You” for the first time” list since they kissed in the finale?

  24. lll says:

I bet the last slots of deaths, possible deaths and breakup/divorces will come from Hawaii 5-0.

  25. A.B. says:

Obviously he doesn’t like Rules of Engagement cause Adam and Jen get married, Brenda gives birth to Audrey and Jeff’s baby and Timmy quit working for Russell. Three things not on the list.

  26. ember69 says:

Disagree with Joe from The Following being a fatality. Stick him under potential/possible fatalities. He was too awesome a psychopath to kill after 1 season, can totally see him doing a dental number on the guy in the lighthouse pre-fire and/or planting DNA evidence to fake his own death. It’s also wishful thinking because James Purefoy so nailed that role.

    • maria says:

I totally believe Joe is not dead, he can’t be, who is gonna be the big villain then? emma?, don’t think so

  27. Emma says:

Um, Bonnie graduated on TVD. She was dead, but she still walked. :P

  28. kay says:

so… why was robin and barney on the gets married list?

  29. hello says:

So the only thing from Nikita that fits is Nikita and Michael breaking up and maybe change of job for Alex since she will start working for the UN

  30. Lucia says:

What about Stefan?!!!!!!!! he’s a possible fatality!!!!!

    • jedispyder says:

He’s not a possible fatality, he’s just locked up under the lake. That won’t kill him, just make him incredibly weak. He’ll return at some point next season, I’m guessing.

  31. Lucia says:

I doesn’t count that Robin said I love you to Barney Scherbatsky! I was the first time she said it on screen :’)

  32. Helvetica says:

Broken engagements should also include Nikita and Michael since she did give him the ring back.

  33. Kim says:

Sadly, you need to add Nikita/Michael under the broken engagement category.

  34. Joel says:

Stefan and Seth Meyers under the weddings Category

  35. lll says:

What about Kono leaving with her boyfriend to Shanghai on H50? Does that count as a firing/major job change?

    • pilo says:

Steve didn’t fire Kono nor did she quit.

      • Helvetica says:

But she’s obviously leaving the country, hence not working for H50. I think it should count as a major job change.

      • JAS says:

the category is “Number of onscreen firings/resignations/major job changes” Kono quite her job at least for now so that would go under resignations.

  36. Jack says:

Why the heck is there a wedding for Timmy and Russell?

    • Eric says:

Russell ignored immigration and Timmy was going to be deported. To make it up to Timmy, Russell decided to marry Timmy.

  37. Joe says:

I was under the impression that Miles doing Nora wasn’t a new thing.

  38. becca says:

Aren’t the fates of Rachel Matheson and Bass Monroe in Revolution up for question?

    • madhatter360 says:

They haven’t finished the season yet. Possible fatalities only applies to the state of a character in the last episode of the season if that episode airs during sweeps.

  39. Joel says:

    Axl graduated last night- Middle

  40. Samantha J says:

what’s up with breakup/diveroce n.18? I tought may sweeps ended yesterday.
(sorry about my bad english, it’s not my first language)

    • Samantha J says:

      I obviously meant breakup/divorce (typo)

    • g2-0cef5f07a234da2e6bc6bf7dfcb6c17a says:

Mike and Molly was postponed due to the tornado in Oklahoma – I am wondering if, perhaps, the breakup/divorce happened in that show, and it was just removed since we are unsure when the finale will air. I hope that isn’t the case, but it is the only possible reason I can imagine.

  41. MONROE AND ROSALEE HAVE SEX! Nothing else matters <3

Also, like Nick in Grimm and Olivia in SVU are gonna die for real…

Can I just say I'm so happy Renée is pregnant in Chicago Fire?

  42. BI says:

Are we ever going to find out what was the blind item?!

  43. Allison says:

You missed fatality – Chief Webber (Grey’s)

  44. Jen says:

I think Joe on The Following should be in the Presumed Death category. His body wasn’t recovered and he’s been smarter than everyone from the get go.

  45. Steven says:

I wouldn’t have the Replicator under possible fatality. He was locked in a room that exploded. I’d say he’s dead.

  46. Teresa says:

Left off the pregnant young lady on Grimm – big part of the finale…

  47. wyocallie says:

Mike and Molly – Molly is pregnant

  48. Eva says:

Hi, I’m looking forward this year’s scorecard! Hope it will be posted soon, can wait! I also publish the similar article for my webside in the Czech Republic, our TV fans love it as much as I love yours, Ausiello! :)
