Saturday Night Live: Your 25 Dream Host Picks!

To say that Season 38 of Saturday Night Live has been a little lackluster would be like calling the Kardashian clan a wee bit overexposed. And while it wouldn’t be fair to place the sketch-comedy show’s woes on the shoulders of its guest hosts, the most recent string of emcees — Adam Levine, Justin Bieber, Christoph Waltz and Kevin Hart — haven’t exactly upgraded the tired lines that showed up on their cue cards.

Which got us thinking: Back in September, TVLine brainstormed a list of 15 first-time hosts we were dying to see. You responded with hundreds of fantastic suggestions of your own. And since Lorne Michaels & Co. seem to need all the help they can get, we picked your best ideas — none of whom have hosted before — and compiled ‘em in a handy gallery.

So click through the photos below, then hit the comments with your thoughts on who you’d like to see follow Justin Timberlake’s stint this coming Saturday (11:30/10:30c, NBC)!

  • Norman Reedus, Kat Dennings, Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin (who was Jayne in Serenity), what about … and I know this is a tremendously long shot Robert Downey Jr! why not bring Stevie Nicks or Fleetwood Mac back in as musical guests. FM has never done it and Stevie hasnt since 83!! what about Rick Springfield and the Sound City Players?

  • Darren Criss as Host and Musical Guest! He’s a multi-talented actor and very familiar with comedy, plus he’s had experience hosting things before (Broadway.com awards). Add to that he’s a talented musician too and you have the perfect package!

  • Kat Dennings all the way! With musical guest The Vaccines.

I bet she’d work real well with the cast of SNL as she does with her co-star Beth Behrs on Two Broke Girls. I’d gladly watch that.

And, for my second choice, how about getting Jim Parsons on SNL with musical guest OneRepbulic? If he hosts, he’ll invite the entire cast of The Big Bang Theory as his special guests.
