The project, based on the unpublished book Dissident by John Dixon, is set at US Cyber Command and focuses on a unit that has been created around one agent with a very special gift, a microchip that has been implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum.

Helgenberger will play Lillian, director of the American government’s cyber-security branch. Josh Holloway (Lost), Michael Rady (Melrose Place) and James Martinez (Fairly Legal) also are part of the cast.

The pilot will be directed by David Semel (Heroes, No Ordinary Family) from a script by Michael Seitzman.

Helgenberger played CSI‘s Catherine Willows for 12 seasons; she’s also appeared on ERFrasier, China Beach and Ryan’s Hope, among others.

Its about a guy that can see the electronic spectrum mmm — didn’t Alpha’s do that and was cancelled because of ratings — Its a spy drama like comments above done with great success in Chuck also cancelled due to ratings but this will get eaten up as its on CBS and its a procedural….. Now we know where SyFy is going wrong
