Community - Season 4On TV this Thursday: American Idol drops and gives you 20, Malcolm McDowell gives the Community some international flavor, Project Runway puts age before beauty and Archer gourmet have his cover blown. Here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm American Idol (Fox) | The fourth and final group of semifinalists take the stage; after tonight, only the Top 20 will remain.

8 pm Zero Hour (ABC) | Laila, forced to repair the next clock for White Vincent, begins leaving a trail of clues for Hank to follow. Meanwhile, Hank’s parents seem to be hiding a secret, and a famous historical figure may hold the key to unlocking the next clock.

8 pm Community (NBC) | After getting shut out of “The History of Ice Cream,” the study group begins its European History class with Prof. Noel Cornwallis (played by Malcolm McDowell, Entourage) — which of course winds up with the gals dressed as Bavarian milkmaids and reintroduces Jeff and Shirley’s German foosball foes. Oh, and Chang’s back!

8:30 pm Parks and Recreation (NBC) | Repeat to Remember: Missing Ben and Leslie after last week’s wedding? Tonight’s Halloween-themed episode revisits their proposal, a scene so lovely it earned Amy Poehler special kudos from us.

  1. TV Gord says:

Well, sweeps ends with a thud. Nothing for me to watch tonight except Community.

    • Leondre says:

Yesterday was the last day of the sweeps.

      • B says:

He knows that. That’s why he said “Sweeps ended.” He’s saying that now that it has, there’s basically nothing happening.

        • TV Gord says:

Thanks, B. :-) As for Community, I’m writing this with about eight minutes left in the show, but…wherefore art thou, Dan Harmon? I’m very disappointed in this season. Our characters are mere shadows of their former selves. :-(

  2. Elyse says:

nothing on for me tonight :( ill have to get my DVR caught up!

  3. anik (@11starthestral) says:

It’s Community Thursday ! Malcolm McDowell is in this episode ! And The Big Bang Theory is a repeat !

  4. Josh says:

Malcolm McDowell gets “Entourage” as his “what he’s appeared in thing”? Come on, he’s had a long and storied career, let’s not define it by “D-Bags in the City”

  5. MaryAnn says:

Now is an excellent time to check out “Zero Hour”. The plot thickens, and actually has stuff going on that in no way resembles the DaVinci code, yet sets up a very intriguing ongoing mystery as to the true identity of the lead character.

    • TM says:

And I’m fairly sure it marks the first appearance of Amy Irving as a character who makes Mommie Dearest look like a rank amateur.

    • Alex says:

Yeah, it’s definitely a good time to check out this show. I like the concept and am hoping it plays out all its episodes and improves as it goes.

  6. RichieS says:

They can’t have a Bavarian themed Community without Chevy Chase doing his hilarious clog/bitch slap routine and uttering his legendary line ” Guten tag..my family and I are looking for sex”.

  7. Bob says:

Come on, people, not even a little love for Archer? Or underdog Community?

  8. Tran says:

  9. jules says:

No Vampire Diaries, no Beauty and the Beast…. sooo nothing for tonight…
