Get More: Casting News, Pilots

margo-martindale120229140712Consider us even more concerned about the beatdown The Americans‘ Claudia is about to get, because Margo Martindale has just boarded CBS’ yet-to-be-titled comedy pilot from Greg Garcia (Raising Hope, My Name Is Earl).

Penned by Garcia and to be directed by sitcom kingmaker James Burrows, the multi-cam project follows Jack, a recently divorced guy (played by Up All Night‘s Will Arnett) whose life gets more complicated when his parents go through marital problems of their own.

Martindale, an Emmy winner for her work on Justified Season 2, will play Jack’s mother Carol. The actress’ other TV credits include CBS’ A Gifted Man and Person of Interest, Suits and the Smash Season 2 opener.

Thumbs-up to Martindale’s casting? And who wants to take a crack at naming this untitled pilot?

  • I like her a lot but cannot stand Will Arnett which is the reason I could not get into Up All Night even though I love Christina Applegate. So, won’t be watching this either if it happens to get picked up.

  • Oh Will Arnett is in it? No need to worry. Everything he’s in gets cancelled!
