Exclusive: Banshee Promotes Anthony Ruivivar to Series Regular Ahead of Season 2

Banshee Season 2 Anthony RuivivarBanshee has made its first major Season 2 casting move.

Cinemax’s hit noir-esque drama, which is five episodes into its inaugural season, has promoted current recurring player Anthony Ruivivar to a full-fledged series regular, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Third Watch alum Ruivivar plays Alex Longshadow, the son of of Kinaho Tribe chief Benjamin Longshadow (Russell Means).

Ruivivar is also set to recur as a veteran cop on the upcoming fifth season of TNT’s Southland.

Banshee, from True Blood‘s Alan Ball and House‘s Greg Yaitanes, ranks as Cinemax’s most-watched series with an average gross audience of 2.7 million viewers.
