  1. Josh says:

Im so glad that Laurel knows! I don’t think she will spill to Ted and Kristin yet i think Emma will convince her not to. I see Laurel helping Emma against Sutton and Rebecca cause Emma is mor her sister than Sutton is with the way Sutton treats that sweet girl

  2. Brandy says:

I think so too. Laurel will obviously be team Emma. She knows the person who she was connecting with was Emma, and not that bitch Sutton.

  3. arianeb says:

Laurel is asking the same questions many of us viewers have been asking since the latter half of season 1.

Earlier the show announced that there would be a “big death” later in the season. It occurred to me that there were only two indispensable characters on the show: Emma and Laurel.

Granted, Mads and Ethan come close to indispensable, too, but without Emma or Laurel, there really isn’t much of a show left. In that sense, the relationship between Emma and Laurel is the key to the entire series, and Emma’s big reveal to Laurel is the biggest test of that relationship, something we have been waiting for since season 1 episode 1. The eventual reveal to Ted and Kristin will likely be a let down in comparison.

  4. Jared says:

I don’t understand why Ted and Kristen are still in the dark about Emma and Sutton. Every other main character knows about the twins and it’s not like its gonna hurt the family because they are already separated.

    • kavyn says:

Isn’t Ted the biological father? I assume the purpose for Emma is to not hurt Kristen any more than necessary (they’re trying to hook Ted/Kristen back together and telling them that him and Rebecca are their parents would be the ultimate betrayal to Kristen). I assume that leads to not wanting to tell Ted so that he doesn’t have to keep it a secret.

And then the other half of the coin is Sutton, who seems to only want to be with Rebecca and Ted (ie not Emma). By telling Ted that her twin sister is in the picture, that would mean Ted has to give Emma half of his attention and formally bring Emma into her life, which is exactly what she doesn’t want.

  5. Elle says:

Do we know if Ted knows there were twins. Why did he only adopt Sutton leaving Emma to be raised by that other family?

    • Elyse says:

I don’t think he knows they were twins.

    • arianeb says:

Ted almost certainly knows that Sutton is his biological daughter, which is why he insisted on adopting her. Either Ted does not know about Emma’s existence, or Ted thinks she was killed in a house fire in Fillmore (I believe it was the news of the fire that led to Justin’s mothers death, but since the Justin story is over, we may never know.)
Alec and Rebecca are the only ones who know everything, except some of their actions can only be explained if there is another unknown person that is a threat to both Alec and Rebecca.
