  • They were not announced in the show, but it sounds like Gotye and Kimbra won a couple awards for their song as well, so yay and congrats to them for that :). Also happy that the Black Keys won for “Lonely Boy”. Such a great song, that one.

    • I was really hoping Red would win something. It’s definitely her best and most mature album (not that there’s anything mature about its first single) and it was honestly my favourite album of last year. Oh well, the Grammys don’t ALWAYS get it right.

Comment by dude – February 11, 2013 05:48 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
      • Red is not eligible for album consideration yet. it was released after the cutoff date (only “We are Never…” was released prior). it’ll be a shoo-in for nominations next year. — as it should be!

  • Miguel should have won instead of Frank Ocean. He was robbed!

Comment by Ang – February 10, 2013 08:05 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Honestly, the performances of the night were pretty boring. I only really enjoyed Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Half the time I was just waiting for some performances to end.

  • You r soooo right boring

  • LOL “Somebody that I Used to LOVE”? Really? :) (psst it’s “know”)

Comment by Rebecca Parker – February 10, 2013 08:22 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Hahaha. I was just coming to post the same correction. Was tvline the only place in the world where that song wasn’t played 8 times a day? How did you manage to escape knowing the lyrics?

Comment by Billie – February 10, 2013 10:32 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • Arcade Fire and Mumford & Sons have both won Album of the Year in the past few years. Consider me happy.

Comment by Eric – February 10, 2013 08:22 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • LL Cool J should be replaced by someone else who is actually relevant in the entertainment industry. Tina and Amy should host the Grammys

Comment by lindsey – February 10, 2013 08:31 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • Yea, because they’re more relevant to the music industry than LL is (sarcasm at its finest).

  • Kelly Clarkson had the night’s best acceptance speech, she is so adorable. And its a plus that she can really sing her performance along with Carrie were the highlights for me :D

  • “Somebody that I used to Know.” And Gotye not Goyte! C’mon tvline!

Comment by driveuntilyoulosetheroad – February 11, 2013 01:27 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • While I love Kelly Clarkson, I’m surprised she won best Pop Album, because I feel like Stronger was very lackluster aside from a couple songs. Compared to Breakaway, My December and All I Ever Wanted, it’s garbage. P!nk’s album on the other hand, really surprised me with how good it is.

Comment by Mikael – February 11, 2013 10:24 AM PDT  Reply To This Post
  • I think Hunter Hayes should have won. So young yet so talented and the most beautiful guy to come along in a long time. Get people magazine and just look at that picture- can just stare at that picture and look at this and tell me it isnt so. Stunning! Good article too. Good Luck Hunter!
