GoodWife_Noble_300John Noble is getting ready to drop some science on The Good Wife.

The actor formerly known as Walter Bishop will appear in an upcoming episode of the CBS drama, TV Guide Canada reports.

He’ll play a client from Alicia’s past, a man she used to take care of and who appears in her flashbacks. Star Julianna Marguiles told the site that Noble’s character, who’ll appear in Episode 18 of the current season,  is “sort of a brilliant techie guy that constantly sues people.”

Noble, of course, played another scientific genius on Fox’s Fringe, which wrapped its five-season run in January.

    • It is great casting news. Although the comment about how Alicia used to take care of him – I wonder if they refers to Alicia the lawyer taking his cases in her earlier years, or Alicia as a housewife taking care of him as a care-giver.

    • He’ll never get nominated – the Academy hates (him). Bunch of old dinosaurs which wouldn’t know entertainment if it bit them in the….HEY HEY!

…that was Krusty from the Simpsons, but I felt it was extremely appropriate in this case.

  • I thought Jasika Nicole (Asterisk, Astro, Asteroid, Astral, Aspirin, Astra……) said she was going to steal him from the set as her memento of her time on Fringe, but maybe she loans him out from time to time.

    • Haha that was my second thought when I saw the news (first thought: AWESOME! can’t wait to watch!). He’s been horribly snubbed year after year. <3 me some John Noble. I love the Good Wife, and they have nominated guest stars for an Emmy in the past such as Michael J. Fox, so I hope they might give Noble some loving!

  • It seems that brilliant character acting showcased in exceptional sci fi programming continues to go woefully underappreciated. Perhaps this is due to the common misunderstanding that melodrama, not to mention, comedy, farce, is a somehow inferior and less difficult to mount, art form.

  • Are you seriuos?! What a waste of a phenomenal talent! Hopefully John will great some more great acting parts soon, like Denethor and the multiple Walter Bishops. He’s too good to be on Wives TV shows.
