The Closer alum J.K. Simmons will guest-star on an upcoming episode of NBC’s Parks and Recreation.

Per EW.com, the actor will play the slightly gruff mayor of Partridge, Minn., the town over which an 18-year-old Ben briefly governed… until he was impeached.

In the episode, which airs next month, Ben and fiancée Leslie visit the city — where they also run into his sister (played by Annabeth Gish).

  • What about the fact that he was recurring on Law & Order for a number of years? He just seem to leave the show and never return, never found out why.
