Betty White to Turn 90 (Again) in New NBC Special

Betty White 90th BirthdayBetty White‘s 90th birthday was so nice, NBC’s celebrating it twice.

The Peacock Net — likely thinking about the ratings presents it received for the golden girl’s shindig broadcast last year — will fete White at Betty White’s 2nd Annual 90th Birthday Special on Tuesday, Feb. 5 (8/7c).

The guest list includes The Cosby Show‘s Bill Cosby, Will & Grace‘s Sean HayesThe Voice‘s Blake Shelton, Malibu Country‘s Lily Tomlin, Chuck‘s Zachary Levi and White’s Hot in Cleveland co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.

Former President Bill Clinton (!) and Vicki Lawrence (in character as Mama from Mama’s Family) also will be on hand to pay tribute.

White’s first birthday special averaged nearly 14 million total viewers and a 2.7 demo rating and grew its audience as the evening progressed — as the comedienne herself would say, not too shabby for an old broad.

  1. Mike says:

Not that I don’t like Betty White, but could they at least call it her 91st Birthday, or Betty Whites annual Birthday special. You don’t turn 90 twice.

  2. Polly says:

i think they should go on and change the name from NBC to BWN, the Betty White Network.

  3. BETTY #1 FAN says:

as for the Haters!!! show some respect!!! Life is too short to hate on other!!! you are mad because you are not famous or getting the attention! get a job, a real one working at Mcds or walgreen is not really a real job!!!! I LOVE YOU BETTY WHITE

  4. Mike says:

NBC needs more than just The Voice and Revolution to stay afloat.. with two cycles and competing against Idol, Voice will be stale soon.. and serialized shows don’t tend to hold audiences for long, and Revolution has already been getting weaker.

  5. Last year’s 90th BD special was a laugh riot. Seriously!

  6. paul says:

I say give us 90 more Betty White Specials as long as she’s up to it. God bless her at her age to be relevant as well as funny across so many generations.

  7. Margie says:

    Mr. Clinton sure gets around!

  8. Nick1372 says:

Well, more Betty is always better!
I just hope they use it to give an extra boost to Off Their Rockers, which is airing on Tuesdays as well.

  9. Dylan says:

The title of the special is a joke from Betty White. During an interview she was asked what she was doing to celebrate turning 91 she jokingly said she would have a 2nd annual 90th birthday party.

  10. Helen Stoops says:

I think the whole idea of her is fabulous. There is no one that I know who has accomplished as much and has given so much to our animals and is still going strong. There is no one like BETTY WHITE imo. Love her. Best of luck Betty!!

  11. Elizabeth Toth says:

Betty White is my idol. I am so upset to have missed her 2nd annual birthday show. Will it be repeated?
