My XFinity had “Malibu County” as a repeat, so it didn’t record. I suspect the same thing may be true of “Last Man Standing”.

    • There must’ve been some bad correspondence between ABC and some guides/sites because the listings I use online (Zap2It) listed the episode as new but on TVGuide.com, the episode was listed as a repeat with a description similar to Zap2It. And the show didn’t even appear for new or repeat on my TVGuide Watchlist. Kind of a weird thing to happen, especially for the first episode after a long break.

That’s exactly what happened. That has to screw up the numbers.

    • MamaCass says:

That’s exactly what happened to us too! I missed them both! They both said repeats and neither recorded. ABC Fail!!

  2. sarah says:

That is great for CSI NY! Odd that Blue Bloods was down.

  3. tahina says:

Blue Bloods has lost some of its luster with Tom Selleck acting capacity reduced to grouching and pouts. Hmm. ;(

    • Sarah says:

Haha you’re absolutely right. Could not have said it better. And he’s way too old too have no gray hair. But the show is still good for the most part.

  4. Sam says:

It is worth noting that on the guide for Comcast it listed both Last Man Standing and Malibu Country as repeats.

Also, in the DC/Northern VA/Southern MD markets Last Man Standing was preempted for a special on the Washington Redskins quarterback, RGIII.

I imagine both of these factor into the lower ratings.

I had a wonderful evening of Cafe Rio takeout and that doubleheader of Portlandia episodes. It was a cozy way to spend an evening where the outdoor temperatures were close to 0 degrees F. Portlandia had a lot of guest stars! My favorite sketch definitely was the one where Portland mayor Kyle Maclachlan sent Fred and Carrrie to Seattle dressed as Mormon missionaries to try and convert the people of Seattle to move to Portland. One of the Seattleites had this gem of a line: “Have you ever heard of a guy named Kurt Cobain?…As far as I know, Kurt Cobain never had a chore wheel, so I don’t see why we should have to have one.” Great stuff. People who don’t watch Portlandia are missing out.

Blue Bloods really seems disconnected without Jackie. Not liking the new partner. Really needs a personal life for Frank, Erin and Jamie.. CBS is really messing with this show.

I didn’t know Blue Bloods was new. Checking my dvr now. *happy dance*
