What's New on TV? Your Guide to The Following, Cult, The Americans and 15 Other Shows

What can the small screen interest you in, come 2013? How about Kevin Bacon as an elite, vodka-nipping FBI profiler on Fox’s The Following? Maybe a teenage, acid-washed jeans-wearing Carrie Bradshaw? And hey, there’s simply no resisting Felicity (aka Keri Russell) as an undercover KGB agent in Reagan-era America.

  • I saw Continuum already and it’s actually really good. This coming from someone who’s usually not into Sci-Fi shows.

  • “The Following” definitely. Possibly “Zero Hour”. Not sure I’ll try anything else. My TV schedule is so full right now I still have things I haven’t caught up with on my DVR.
Whoever said “The Following” reminds them of Red John on “The Mentalist” and his minions, I felt the same.

    • We’ve been playing 6 Degrees of KB just with the casts of these new shows. It’s a bit harder than the general game.

  • The Carries Diaries is just a glorified WH-RE & Carrie with her friends (On Sex & The City…Especially Samantha) were the biggest sluts of all & I hope CW cancels it and I think it’s time for Supernatural to go for good too and put Cult in that time slot…Arrow, Cult on Weds, The Vampire Diaries, Beauty & The Beast on Thursday. I like Cult because it’s different & I totally get it, a show within a show but there are also real followers of the cult, also the female lead role (on the show within the show) the character Willow (that plays her sister) is really missing, so the questions are: was she (the female cop) in the real cult or not (they show pictures of her & do say she was in the cult but was that the show within the show or real) and what happened to Willow? Where is the journalists brother he certainly wasn’t on the show within the show, so why did they kidnap him and who is Steven? & why hasn’t he ever been seen?

  • Watched “Golden Boy” last night (2/26/2013), and as far as I am concerned so far, they can scrap it and place whatever is on film thus far into the reject pile !

  • Kevin Bacon in the following is completely disappointing. The violence has become so disturbing it should be taken off the network. This is no longer entertainment — it’s become absurd. Stop watching, tune in to programs that are actually appealing.
