Fringe First Look: The Final Countdown Begins

Get More: Exclusive, First Look

Though Fringe‘s Captain Windmark is looking a little worse for wear in this new poster touting the Fox drama’s final four episodes (kicking off Friday at 9/8c), the steely intensity in his eyes suggests that Team Fedora most definitely has some fight left in it as “The Final Battle” nears.

After this Friday’s outing, which is titled “Anomaly XB-6783746″ (of course!), Fringe returns Jan. 11 and then finishes up its five-season run with a double bill on Jan. 18 (starting at 8/7c). What is your latest theory on how al this ends?

  • It seems like they need to return to when the universes were separated, or a time line where they weren’t separated and were working together. That way you come full circle and you can have Henry and Etta. They would still have to stop David Robert Jones and William Bell, but they will have an ally in September. Together they create a new normal for both universes. So, it’s a modified reset.

  • I believe that if things are repeated they have importance, there is a connection. Someone who is the point of view we are looking from is trying to find a better reality than the limiting one’s self to the pain of the truths that prevent the future from being optionless. The point of FRINGE is hope to make their path. I have just been along for the ride since day one… thank-you.

  • It needs to reset to before Walter tried to save Peter. The other Olivia was the one who got prego with Peter’s baby, not ours. So how do you know your even in our universe. We need to get back to that and this was all probably just a premonition of the future that could possibly take place if Walter tried to save Peter. Most likely shown to him by September, September being the one to try and stop this whole thing before it started.

  • I think this all was just in Walter’s mind in the mental institution.

    • They already used that ending where the whole season run was in an autisic childs mind, a series back in the ’70′s, Saint Elsewhere. I hope that it’s more original than that.

  • I think Olivia dies because of the man with the X and what September says about “seeing all future and in all of them you die” but I hope I’m wrong
