On TV this Tuesday: The Voice wails for the last time this season, NCIS: Los Angeles has itself a deep sea little Christmas, Leverage screws a Scrooge and Happy Endings needs the absence of Christmas, right this very minute. As a supplement to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.
8 pm It’s a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie (The CW) | Shameless‘ William H. Macy, The View‘s Whoopi Goldberg and other stars help Kermit regain his Christmas spirit after losing the Muppet Theatre in this It’s a Wonderful Life-inspired holiday flick.
8 pm NCIS (CBS) | It’s Christmastime for Gibbs’ team, and while Abby bubbles with holiday excitment Tony gets a visit from his father (returning guest star Robert Wagner), setting the stage for our first-ever tour of DiNozzo’s apartment — “surprising” bedroom included.
9 pm The Voice (NBC) | Season finale, Part 2: It all comes down to tonight’s two-hour broadcast, when America’s favorite singer (on this network, at least) is chosen as the Season 3 winner.
9 pm Rizzoli & Isles (TNT) | Jane bumps into her old flame Casey, who shares some startling news. Elsewhere, the team works to solve the murder of a former college football player.
9 pm Happy Endings (ABC) | Upon learning that Jane’s really a Christmas baby who hates having her day overshadowed by the holiday, the gang tries to throw her a Christmas-free birthday celebration.
9:30 pm Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 (ABC) | Chloe decides a raging weekend in the Hamptons will lift June and James’ deflated spirits – but her dreams of debauchery keep getting sidelined by introspection and reflection.
10 pm Vegas (CBS) | Sheriff Lamb assigns Dixon an undercover job at the Savoy when Savino suffers a series of robberies. D.B. Sweeney (The Cutting Edge) guest-stars.
10 pm Leverage (TNT) | Just in time for Christmas, the Leverage team creates a global toy craze to take on an unscrupulous CEO – played by Scandal‘s Gregg Henry — who’s about to unleash a dangerous toy onto the market.
10 pm Ramsay’s Christmas Cookalong (BBC America) | Chef Gordon Ramsay welcomes Baywatch‘s David Hasselhoff and British TV host Russell Grant to his home as he shares tips for a stress-free Christmas in the kitchen. (Of all the weirdness in that sentence, I think “Ramsay” and “stress-free” are the oddest pair.)
11 pm Flashpoint (ION) | Parker’s son Dean and Ed’s son Clark see more than their dads intend them to when a Team One ride-along comes across a shootout at a drug den.
