What to Watch Monday: The Voice Final 4, Broke Girls X 2, Bublé and Bing, Mel Brooks and More
On TV this Monday: The Voice feels four-tunate, the Broke Girls offer a double pump, Michael Bublé invites you Home for the Holidays and Mel Brooks sits down with HBO. (We must tell our birds.) As a supplement to TVLine’s original features (linked within), here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.
8 pm American Country Awards (Fox) | Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies) and Trace Adkins host this live celebration of country music. Scheduled performers include Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum and Rascal Flatts.
8 pm Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (ABC) | In back-to-back episodes, J.R. Martinez (Dancing With the Stars, All My Children), country star Lee Greenwood, Ty and the team help a severely injured Iraq vet and his family.
8 pm The Voice (NBC) | Terry, Trevin, Cassadee and Nicholas head into the semifinals.
8 pm 90210 (The CW) | When Liam receives a blackmail letter about Vanessa’s accident, Annie lends him the money to trap his tormentor; musical guests Tegan & Sara perform at the gang’s holiday party.
9 pm Gossip Girl (The CW) | In the series’ penultimate episode, Chuck makes a deal that could change his life and Nate’s financial woes land him somewhere he never thought he’d be. And again, we ask: What three words will flash on screen as this hour ends?
9 pm Mel Brooks Strikes Back (HBO) | The comic mastermind behind Blazing Saddles and The Producers has a stroke — of genius! — as he reminisces about his very successful career.
9 pm Take It All (NBC) | Onetime Deal or No Deal-maker Howie Mandel hosts this limited-run game show based on the holiday-party grab-bag game White Elephant/Yankee Swap.
9 pm 2 Broke Girls (CBS) | In the first of two back-to-back episodes, Max invites her former love interest Johnny and former boyfriend Robbie to the opening of the girls’ cupcake shop. Then, Max makes Sophie a silent partner in the business, though Caroline’s not so sure that’s a good idea.
10 pm Hawaii Five-0 (CBS) | Tom Arnold (Sons of Anarchy) guest-stars as an armed man who takes McGarrett and a little girl hostage during an Aloha Girls camping trip.
10 pm Michael Bublé: Home for the Holidays (NBC) | Rod Stewart, The Voice‘s Blake Shelton and Carly Rae Jepsen join Bublé for this new special. What’s more, via the miracle of technology, the Canadian crooner duets with Bing Crosby. (No offense, Bublé, but you’ll have to work pretty hard to top this. Or this.)
