HBO Books Louis CK for New Stand-Up Special

Louis CKThis news oughta placate Louis CK fans somewhat until Season 4 of Louie hits FX in… ugh2014.

It was announced on Monday that the Emmy-winning multihyphenate will headline a new stand-up comedy special for HBO, to be taped at one of the stops on his sold-out 16-city tour.

The hour-long laugh-fest, to air in 2013, is the buzzy funnyman’s second such special for HBO, and it will be directed by Robert Townsend. No, just kidding — Louis CK will direct it.
